I'm reminded a bit of Paul with his thorn, and the fact God would not heal him. It kept him humble, so he would not exalt himself.
And speaking of humility...

Numbers 12:3: (Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all men who were on the face of the earth.)

true, there is only One Holy seed of promise.

i wondered if the Lord called a person of levi such as moses to bring out more than the twelve tribes of Yisrayl?
Are you saying that you believe Moses will be one of the two witnesses in the end times?

The BIBLE says that it is appointed for man once to die and then the judgment. There are two characters in the BIBLE who did not experience a physical death yet......they have YET to die...Both were from the OLD TESTAMENT...and yes, they could be witnesses indeed..Moses was not one of them. He died but his grave was made secret. Enoch and Elijah never faced death. They went straight to be with GOD without suffering, without pain and without someone pronouncing them DEAD. That would be my instant understanding of who will be witnesses that came back and will indeed DIE once and for all.

We can but speculate, but wasn't it Elijah and Moses who were with Jesus at the transfiguration...

(Sorry this is off topic 7777)

The transfiguration was a vision: Matt. 17:9: "And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead."

Moses, Elijah and Enoch all died. They were not taken to heaven, nobody is in heaven. Elijah was taken to heaven H8064. The vision showed the glorified Christ: he was still alive and not glorified.

Living Water

The man was not decieved
So from Adam to Noach the Lord's promise unfolds in a tithe from Heaven.

Adam {}Seth
Enosh {}Kenan

Mahalyl {}yarod
Enoch {}Methsayah
Lamech {}Noach

I ask who here knows the meaning of a name.
And even more so the value of two names per generation.

He named him Noach and said,
“He will comfort us in the labor and painful toil of our hands caused by the ground the Lord has cursed.”

30 After Noah was born, Lamech lived 595 years and had other sons and daughters.

31 Altogether, Lamech lived a total of 777 years, and then he died.
Adam-ruddy
Seth-substitute
Enosh-frail mortal
Kenan- nestle
Mahalaleel-praise God
Jared-descend
Enoch- initiate
Methuselah-man of a spear
Lamech- powerful
Noah-rest

This is just from Strongs. There are other concordances and Hebrew dictionaries that expand definitions.

Am not sure what you mean about the value of two names per generations.

Hi Deade

It wasn't a vision as we would define a vision to be. That is only one seeing. And it could not be what we call an open vision either, for the same reason.

They all saw, and participated. It was a supernatural event, which if you look at the Greek, that's what you find for the word vision for this useage.

Not sure if this has anything to do with your discussion though.
