    Default God Made Him

I signed up on another Christian forum for the first time yesterday and they
banned me the same day saying to me it was because I had registered before and posted
    before on their forum.

So I want to first declare
that I have never registered and made any post here before today.

And even if you do not like what I say or believe what I say
I will not violate any of the forum rules.

I am not even certain that this verse from the bible is true.
I am putting it to the test so as I can know one way or the other.

No He was not created, I believe Jesus Christ was God's Word before the Word became flesh, and was named Jesus Christ.

    Hope that helps friend.

The author of the verse I quote stated that God made Him to be sin.

    Greetings and Welcome, RgM,

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made, and without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

He had no sin, but he was appointed to pay the penalty for sin on our behalf. Jesus himself had no sin. If He did, then He wouldn't have been able to pay the penalty for our sins and would have never been able to resurrect.

I know you are not asking me, so please forgive me if you feel I am interfering. God did not make Christ, so we need to look at the context of what is being said. Starting with verse 12-21 it is talking about us being reconcieled to God. Let's look at verses 20-21

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

With the context of us being reconcieled to God what us Christ made so that we can be reconcieled? God made Jesus sin, so that we could be reconcieled, but what does that mean? A look at another translation will answer that question, here's how the
    J.B Phillips translates it.

We are now Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were appealing direct to you through us. As his personal representatives we say, “Make your peace with God.” For God caused Christ, who himself knew nothing of sin, actually to be sin for our sakes, so that in Christ we might be made good with the goodness of God.”

God made Christ to know sin by placing the penalty of sin on Christ or making Him our sacrifice for sin.

    Who is Him?
    Welcome RgM,
Looks like you've got off on the wrong foot with the answers. The "Him" in that verse is the Lord Jesus Christ. What that verse is saying that Christ was made "Sin" for us. Which means that when Jesus was on the Cross, God the Father placed all the sins and guilt of the world on Him (the one who was sinless and knew no sin).

All our iniquities were placed on Him, so in fact He became "Sin" as the Lamb of God who would take away the sin of the world. And that is when He paid the penalty for all our sins through His sufferings, His shed blood, and His death. He became the whole burnt offering for the sin of the world, and no man will know what He suffered in order to pay the sin debt.

Now, because that sin debt has been paid, we can have the righteousness of God -- in fact Christ -- imputed to us, so that God sees us as "not guilty" but justified -- declared righteous before God. And that only happens for those who repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

This is the answer. Thank you brother Nehemiah6.

Why do you believe this when it is not stated as such in the verse?
