Am all for people posting on the thread and happy for it., but please do your due diligence to read first before you post what you interpret what I've said. God is 100% in control BUT He has given control to us to walk by faith or to walk by sight. When we walk by sight., we miss the truth and we don't walk it out. God never forces us to believe Him. We have that choice and it was God who created us with a choice.

They had mercy and grace in the Old covenant but not like we have it today in the new covenant post Cross. Jesus has come and is in us now. That was not the way it was in the Old covenant. People did not have the Holy Spirit like all of us Christians do today with the seal and promise He will never leave us. I'll endeavor to re post to clarify the error made by posters who have not read in context or the full post regarding their comments.

The book of Job is put there for a reason., for our learning. The Bible is all God's Word - God breathed for us from Genesis to Revelation., and for our learning. It's our job to look to the Holy Spirit as we read the Bible to have it's truths properly and rightly divided for us. The whole Bible is God breathed and for us for doctrine, for reproof for correction and discipline., for showing us how to live.. 2 Timothy 3:15-17

[SUP]15 [/SUP]And how from your childhood you have had a knowledge of and been acquainted with the sacred Writings, which are able to instruct you and give you the understanding for salvation which comes through faith in Christ Jesus [through the [SUP][a][/SUP]leaning of the entire human personality on God in Christ Jesus in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness].
[SUP]
16 [/SUP]Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof andconviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action),
[SUP]
17 [/SUP]So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Unsaved people can read the Bible and not understand the hidden meanings through the so called contradictions they have heard or even read in the Bible. So they read it according to their own understanding and totally misrepresent IT and God. They hate it because God sounds like a tyrant and a killer and murderer and a psychopath... And so they refuse to come. They don't believe He is the God of love and truth and justice. They call the God of the Bible evil.

Anyone of US can read the Bible and force it to say what we believe as well. We can read it based on our OWN experiences and hurts in life. That is where we MUST allow the Holy Spirit to heal us and show us the truth in our new man. We are called to reckon ourselves (our old man) to be dead and our new man to be alive. We are called to see Jesus. And we have the Holy Spirit to point us all the time to Jesus.

The pains and hurts we have experienced in life come because we live in a sinful ugly rotten world. Adam was the first human who had everything he and his wife Eve could ever have needed or wanted. Yet even Adam and Eve with EVERY OPPORTUNITY to succeed TOTALLY FAILED. They both allowed the enemy of their souls to lie and steal from them the very gifts God freely gave them.

We have every opportunity in Christ to walk in the victory He won for us. Why do so many of us fail? For myself.... I saw God through the lens of my own understanding not allowing the Holy Spirit to interpret Jesus for me. I was in a mess and headed for a bigger mess and probably even would have died if I hadn't allowed the Holy Spirit to give me a do over in my understanding of Jesus.

I became a willing participant to see Jesus from the Holy Spirit's point of view and found it is He who leads us all into the truth., not me and my flimsy understanding or experiences. And so I come to CC to share what I've been learning about. That Jesus LOVES us and no longer deals with us according to our own understanding. He calls us to live a new and living way. So praise the LORD for He is GOOD., His mercies endure forever!!! :)

I went through the OP already Lynn. Nothing more do I have to say.
Nothing you ever said, other than Joan is right. She can't be. She posted that OP and it is wrong.

Wow! Reading all this garbage by JM and Stones, it takes me back to my New Age days. This is pure theosophy. That is an anti God philosophy based on the efforts of human beings to raise themselves to god-hood status.

It all makes sense now! The infiltration by God-hating, New Age spiritualists, based on their own works.

As for those Bible addresses some of them quote out of context, the New Age movement loved nothing more than to prove its truths by quoting the holy books of the word, including the Bible. Yes, all those conflicts between the books, never explained. Just take what you like, discard the rest, as JM has dine in every post.

There are people on this thread claiming to be Christians when in fact they are New Agers infiltrating CC with their lies about new and progressive revelations, which are the doctrines of demons.

I think most of you know how much I despise conspiracy theories of any sort. In fact, I still do not believe there was collusion. But, the fact remains that seducers are present in this forum and on this thread.

To think I thought we were arguing with sincere followers of Christ, instead of liars from the devil.

[FONT=&quot]I was taught in the Catholic church that Mary was the mother of God and was co-equal with God. Among other very wrong teachings concerning God and His ways. We were taught that God was much like the Greek Gods who played crazy make no sense games with humans. Always testing us to see if we would listen or ignore His rules and regulations so we could be put in the "good" section and be accepted for that day.

These wrong concepts of God had to be cleared up in time by many of us who have been saved. We needed the truth concerning God from the Bible. Not ideas coming from certain religions we came from or even parents that we had who may have abused us or just were uncaring or not available. Just look at the many different people that come to CC. We all have differing ideas based on differing experiences based on differing countries and nations in the world.

Look at the different threads started by different people here. Each one of us have certain subjects we are into and want to discuss. There is nothing wrong with our different personalities because God made each one of us unique. But when it comes to the truth., the Bible is of no private interpretation so we can't take a Bible verse and build a religion on it. Yet that is what many (even Christians) have done.

Take the book of Job for instance. We were always taught that he was (the whole time) a man to follow in the foot steps of. But I've since discovered a few things about Job's beliefs that are not in agreement with what the Bible says about God. And so I have endeavored to share it here with those who are willing to reason together.

Paul Ellis is pretty cool IMO. I like his teachings on different things. Although we don't agree concerning some of the end times issues of the church. I am looking forward to Jesus coming for the church in what many of us call "the rapture" But that's ok Paul E. isn't on the same page as me.

In the next post I'll show some of the things PE says about Job. At the end of the book, Job found out some major truths about God he didn't know before and he was set straight by God (as we have been) These men of faith in the Bible were flawed and although they are examples of how us humans can fail and then come to our senses and learn to follow God., the bigger lessons are to show how gracious our God is in showing love and grace and mercy to us when we fail. How His love never fails although we often do.

[FONT=&quot]The Bible says God gave the care taking of the planet to Adam and Eve and they were duped by the devil and gave it over to him. They didn't believe God cared for or loved them enough to provide for them. They didn't trust God.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]That is why we have tribulations in this life because Romans 5:12 says; Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned. [/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]When we get saved we are put back in right relationship to God (and then some) we become sons much better than Adam and Eve were. We are partakers of the divine nature [/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]2 Peter 1:3-4 seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. [/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, in order that by them you might become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.

I don't believe God offered up Job as some kind of sacrifice or for Job to prove himself for God. That goes against what I know about Jesus and I get all my information about God when I look at Jesus. I believe as does Ellis and Tompkins that God stated a fact that the devil set his heart against Job. I agree with the way Young's translates the verses in Job.

[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Below is part of a book review on a book called Understanding the Book of Job by Tom Tompkins. If you want to read more follow the links. I see no lies here at all. No false doctrine., no heresy. What you see is up to you. [/FONT]

If you’re suffering, you must have done something bad. God must be punishing you.” That must be one of the oldest lies in history. Here’s another. “God is using these hard times to teach you humility.” These lies can be traced back to one of the oldest and most misunderstood stories in the Bible – the story of Job. As I’m sure you know, Job was a man who lost everything. The Book of Job is not mainly about his loss, but how he tried to process his loss with the help of three religious friends.

When I wrote my Job post a year and a half ago I had no idea that so many Christians would get upset by me telling them that God does not take away his good gifts. (To be honest, I wasn’t the first to say that. I stole that revelation from Romans 11:29: “God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.” So if it makes you angry, take it up with the other Paul.) If you missed that post, here’s the short version; God does not give and take away. The only thing He’ll take off you is your sin, shame, and sickness.

I also had no idea that Tom Tompkins was writing a little gem entitled Understanding the Book of Job. In his book, Tompkins places the blame for Job’s woes squarely at the feet of the Devil:

Much of what Job’s friends told him exactly what we hear to today… While Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar did not condemn God, they did accuse and condemn Job. They were wrong to do so as it was not God or Job’s fault that the terrible events had taken place. Let’s not forget that none of these men had a revelation of the Devil. If the name “Satan” had been mentioned to any of them, they probably would have responded with “Who?” (pp.86,95)

“How convenient to blame the Devil,” you may say. “Surely God could have stopped Satan. Surely God set Job up by boasting about him.” Actually neither is true. Read the Job account in a literal translation such as Young’s and you will see that Satan came gunning for him:

And Jehovah saith unto the Adversary, “Hast thou set thy heart against My servant Job because there is none like him in the land, a man perfect and upright, fearing God, and turning aside from evil?” (Job 1:8, YLT)

Satan had set his heart against Job. “So why didn’t God stop the Devil?” Good question. We might also ask, “Why doesn’t God stop earthquakes or famines or wars?” The answer is, not everything that happens is God’s responsibility. He left the planet in Adam’s control and Adam handed it to the Devil. Satan went for Job because he could. When God said, “All that he has is in thy power” (Job 1:12, see also 2:6), He wasn’t handing Job over to Satan – God doesn’t do deals with the Devil! – He was simply stating a fact. The whole unredeemed “world is under the control of the evil one” (1 Joh 5:19).

I said I was leaving the thread. It was too creepy to watch. But I guess I can handle it better after some sleep.

You can't have a conversation. All you can do is keep handing out the pamphlets.

You can't address the questions asked of you, like why God calls Job blameless and upright yet you say he wasn't. You refuse to answer it or explain how you disregard your Creators exact and plain words.

Blameless and upright. And you say: no, that word of God is wrong and these men and their pamphlets are right.

Blameless and upright, JM. Address why your pamphlets deny this and say the word of God is not right.

It is one thing to say men are teaching unrightly about God regarding something. If that's the case, I want to hear. Its another thing to say that God Himself is unright in something He said. He said, blameless and upright in his heart. (Doesn't mean sinless by the way. It means honest as one can be with God about what is in their heart.)

These men couch what they say to you in the terms of "men teaching unrightly" but when you go to scripture, as you are supposed to, you find they are really saying God has spoken unrightly, because it is God Himself who said blameless and upright.

And yet you keep handing out the pamphlets, refusing to address the questions asked of you.

Hi Joanie

Good post but I just want to add something here.

You started with addressing dcon, so it could be thought that all you have said is towards him. I know it's not. Just that it could be read this way.

And knowing Dcon, I know he knows the foundation of the blood covenant probably better than anyone here. I've learned much in his thread myself.

Also some of us believe that Job was of the first age, including myself. Am not sure if there is information outside of the book of Job itself about that age. Adam would would not yet be formed.

Is something I think I will research.
Hi Stones...I am trying to get my head around what you have posted about Job being before Adam , what has derailed you from the truth , that God created man ( Adam ) in His image Genesis 1: 26...What has brought you to go looking beyond the Word of God ...

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth...

Genesis 1:27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them...

We are told by God Himself we must not add or take away from His Word...
[FONT=&quot]Proverbs 30:6[/FONT]Verse Concepts

[FONT=&quot]Do not add to His words Or He will reprove you, and you will be proved a liar...

Everything we need is written in the bible , I am sorry for derailing this thread , but I just felt the need to respond to Stones post , I hope and pray that new Christians that may be looking on do not run off looking for things outside the bible , Adam was the first man , and the bible says we must not rely on our own understanding ...xox...[/FONT]

Wow, I never heard of Job being before Adam. Some stuff is scary.

There was snow in Jobs day, Many believe Job was written after the flood. Close enough to the flood that the ice age was still present. (A global flood would have lowered the temp of the earth to cause the ice age, nbot to mention, most likely there was no snow pre flood as the atmosphere was much different)

There are mar ethan a few who believe that Noah took some writings on the ark, and these writings were used by Moses to write genesis, EVERYTHIGN else would have been destroyed by the flood. And even if there were any possible remains, would have been destroyed by the total wave which preceded the massive flood. And anything that may have survived was buried so deep in sediment it would never be recovered.

Hi Stunned...Praise God , all the glory to Him \:)/...
I do not often get urges to post , but when I do I believe that it is the Holy Spirit in me because it will not rest until it has been said...We must stand on Gods word only , even if we shake when speaking...

Jesus was never revered to Job being the first natural man , but to Adam...

So it is written: "The first man Adam became a living being" the last Adam, a life-giving spirit. The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual. The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven. As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the man from heaven, so also are those who are of heaven (1 Corinthians 15:45-48)...

Have a nice day/night my friend , it has just turned afternoon here in England , and a rainy one at that
:)...It's a duvet day for me...xox...

I LOVE duvet days. I used to have a lot of them. I need one soon. God will see to it. ;)

Think of me out in the rain when you are snuggled up in your duvet with a cup of tea getting to delve into Job like I wish I could today. And after you laugh at how funny my hair will look from the rain here too, ask God to give Jen a duvet day!

It would be great if we had more threads actually going over books of the Bible. Read parts of a passage, and have everyone give a view of what they think it means, then have a nice discussion about all the views. We may all learn something. Even if in the end we disagree.

We all have our "sacred cows" if you don't believe that., you just don't know it yet. Our minds as believers are supposed to be being renewed by the Holy Spirit AS WE PARTICIPATE. There is a TON OF STUFF that needs to get dumped from our brains that we hold to as the truth from our former way of life. Our old manner of living.

But the Holy Spirit is never going to force anyone to SEE the truth unless we are willing participants. Even if it means we walk around in confusion and even can die for lack of knowledge or better said for lack of believing the truth. Our old manner of living is how we survived before we got born again but now we have been given a new spiritual man (God's seed) who has to be watered by the washing of the Word.

The Holy Spirit is always wanting and willing to help us "reckon" ourselves to be dead to sin and alive to God. Reckon means believe it to be a fact even when our brain; "says it can't be... it makes no sense...." We are called into a new and living way by the Holy Spirit to walk in the Spirit (our new man). Rom.8:2
For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has freed me from the law of sin and of death.

There a so many sacred cows I've yet to get rid of in my old thinking and way of living. One that was demolished was the need to talk about election and the way I used to interpret God's sovereignty. Now I know God so loved everyone in the world and sent Jesus to die for all... but not all will accept Jesus as the only Way to God. But the offer is out there to all. God so loved the whole world.

That grace and truth are what Jesus brought us., and Moses brought in the law. John 1:16-18 We are in a new covenant and the old is "obsolete" Many live according to the old covenant and see God through the eyes of men and not IN Christ.
[SUP]
16 [/SUP]For out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received [all had a share and we were all supplied with] one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift.
[SUP]
17 [/SUP]For while the Law was given through Moses, grace ([SUP][a][/SUP]unearned, undeserved favor and spiritual blessing) and truth came through Jesus Christ.
[SUP]
18 [/SUP]No man has ever seen God at any time; the only [SUP][b][/SUP]unique Son, or [SUP][c][/SUP]the only begotten God, Who is in the bosom [in the intimate presence] of the Father, He has declared Him [He has revealed Him and brought Him out where He can be seen; He has interpreted Him and He has made Him known].

The Bible is all for our learning Romans 15:4 Some here consider men like Charles Ryrie and Andrew Wommack and others I've shared on these forums as heretics. In my opinion those who say such things about these men and woman of God are lacking in understanding. Being prejudice won't allow anyone to see the value of other Christians. In that way., not much will be learned until our hearts are not willing to condemn others in the faith.

2 Tim.3:16

[SUP]16 [/SUP]Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action),
[SUP]17 [/SUP]So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.

I believe once we refuse to read the Bible apart from our own private lens of truth., it means we are not willing to see the truth as it is given in the Bible. If our minds are not renewed day by day.... we will not be learning 2 Cor.4:15-18 We are instructed to be a co laborers with Christ. Willing to put off the things that are seen for the things that are not seen and to have hope and faith in MORE from the things we don't see with our physical senses.

[SUP]15 [/SUP]For all [these] things are [taking place] for your sake, so that the more grace (divine favor and spiritual blessing) extends to more and more people and multiplies through the many, the more thanksgiving may increase [and redound] to the glory of God.
[SUP]
16 [/SUP]Therefore we do not become discouraged (utterly spiritless, exhausted, and wearied out through fear). Though our outer man is [progressively] decaying and wasting away, yet our inner self is being [progressively] renewed day after day.
[SUP]
17 [/SUP]For our light, momentary affliction (this slight distress of the passing hour) is ever more and more abundantly preparing and producing and achieving for us an everlasting weight of glory [beyond all measure, excessively surpassing all comparisons and all calculations, a vast and transcendent glory and blessedness never to cease!],
[SUP]
18 [/SUP]Since we consider and look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are visible are temporal (brief and fleeting), but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting.

The scripture is the TRUTH and our guide. If something blatantly refutes it, then we can be sure it is not the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit and the scripture go hand in hand they do not contradict each other.

I do agree that we should always be studying and learning from the scripture and examining our own selves, but there is a line you should and better not cross...and that line is the Word of God. We had better not add to it it or take away from it for any reason.

You waste your breath on these scribes and Pharisees......
Hmm...You do know the scribes and the Pharisees were the ones adding to and taking away from the word of God to try to make it say what they wanted it to say, right.

I was taught in the Catholic church that Mary was the mother of God and was co-equal with God. Among other very wrong teachings concerning God and His ways. We were taught that God was much like the Greek Gods who played crazy make no sense games with humans. Always testing us to see if we would listen or ignore His rules and regulations so we could be put in the "good" section and be accepted for that day.
BTW, bull dung! I was taught in that same church, (and got over it since.) They did not equate God with Greek Gods making "no sense games" with humans. Nor did they have a "good section." (Most were going to purgatory or limbo, until someone else merited them the goodness.)

Not only are you lying about God's words, you are lying about the Catholic Church. I'm very tired of you spreading that lie too.

And honestly? Get over it already! Sure, you were taught crap as a kid. Weren't we all? For most people that means look carefully at what you're being taught now to make sure it isn't crap. For you it seems to mean "find more crap to believe now and then see who I can con into agreeing with me."

Again, repeating the same lies over and over again does NOT make it truth.

This isn't even good marketing anymore. All you're doing is showing more and more people what your game is based on -- lies! It's like asking a used-car salesman, "Is there rust on the car?"

And the salesman slaps the bumper, it falls off from rust, and he says, "No, no, no! Solid! See?"

Even a lying salesman knows he lost that commission at that moment. The bad ones try to put the bumper back on as they continue spewing. Either way, that car isn't going to be sold by that salesman. Nor is any other to that potential customer.
