Still no need to assign morning star to satan - their is not one mention in the NT about Isa 14:13 to link with satan.
And I will keep on doing what I am doing in order to cut the ground from under those who want an opportunity to be considered equal with us in the things they boast about. 13 For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ.

14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

But as soon as it speaks his heart reveals the Truth,

You don't think Satan influenced Locutus?

That didn't come out right. I mean influenced the king of Babylon?

Theres two being addressed in that chapter, if I'm in the right chapter, the Prince, and the King.

I heard from another teacher that one addressed Satan, and the other the actual man. Not from Missler.

yeah its quite the riddle the Lord put forth by the prophets..

Unless of course if a person is given the Spirit of Understanding and has studied the scripture and confirmed what they were taught.
it is quite clear what the Lord is speaking about.(priesthood)

Yes, most likely Stones, but that is not the intent of Isaiah, what we have is the prophet in a sense mocking the king with the language of exaltation (in the kings own mind). He just thought he was better than slice bread - arrogant and the prophet is speaking of his fall.

I dunno about that.

If our Lord and Savior being Flesh and Blood was tempted by satan and resisted then rebuked the prince of power of air with the Rightfull Authority to do so.

Would you be so inclined to impute a sin onto the Flesh of our Savior and then say that satan was his flesh?

I was thinking of Ezekiel 28

my bad.
13 Then people brought little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked them.(tsk, tsk) they didnt understand) how dare those sinners bring the childre...
14 Jesus said,
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” 15 When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there.

The Lord will extend your mighty scepter from Zion, saying,
“Rule in the midst of your enemies!”
3
Your troops will be willing
on your day of battle.
Arrayed in holy splendor,
your young men will come to you
like dew from the morning’s womb.

And Leah said, A troop cometh: and she called his name Gad.

I wait for your deliverance, Adonai.

(v) “Gad [troop]— a troop will troop on him,
but he will troop on their heel.

It's no wonder the catholics decided only the pope has the final interpretation of the scripture. What a mess of opinions on this thread! We should be ashamed but nope, nary one will even consider they might be wrong but I have learned it doesn't make any difference because it all works out the same anyway and no doubt, everyone will have a different opinion on that too:)

What year was Lucifer denied access to heaven?
Prehistoric. i.e. it was before written history. It was before Man. So, it is likely it was before the universe was created.

Would that make it a "year" with a negative sign in front of it?

And I'm quoting "year" because without a way of marking time, was there time?

That was the long version.

Here's the short version:

OK, does this give us a hint as to who satan is?
Bad guy.

Idiot who tempted (successfully) Eve.

Idiot how shred around with Job's life.

Idiot who thought he could tempt Jesus off his path.

Pretty much an idiot.

The devil is the fleshly man, not a sin, there is no sin until the man actually sins and yes Jesus had a fleshly body but He did not yield to the temptation of it and sin. The scripture says He was tempted in all points just as we.

WOW..............................................................................!
You think Satan is the son of the morning?!!! You need to read Revelation 12:8,9. Satan lost his place in heaven and was hurled down to the earth (creation).

I observe that you are very rude and arrogant- a sign that God’s Love is not in you, and neither is His truth. Your lack of sheepskin makes you easy to identify. I say this for the readers sake- that they may heed warning at your words, and for your sake- that you may re-examine yourself and change before it’s too late.

(You will know them by their fruit, their spiritual fruit, is it of the Spirit?- love? joy? peace? patience? kindness? goodness? faithfulness? gentleness? self-control?)

Way to go MattforJesus, I was just getting the verses from Ezekiel together when you posted them. Here is the clinching verse:

28:14 "Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire."

Satan was over God's government [prophetic mountain] and was cast down ages before the Garden of Eden. Why do you suppose God would do that. Why didn't He imprison on Mars or Venus. Anywhere but Earth. I mean, after all, he is a spirit and so are his fallen comrades. They don't need oxygen to breath, shoot they don't even need to breath.

That is the key to what God is doing. He is allowing evil to continue, for a season. God will not tolerate evil forever. That is why Satan will be destroyed after God is done with him:

28:18,19: "Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.”

Satan is being used like a tool in the hand of God. God put man in charge of the Earth and now Satan rules the world systems by influencing man. We believers should know of his existence and his methods. We can overcome him.

The Bible does not say when Satan was cast out of Heaven..

Jesus said He saw Him fall.. But it is not clear what tense Jesus was talking in..

Luke 10:KJV
18 "And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven."

Satan is the son of the morning..

Isaiah 14: KJV
12 "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!"

And the Book of Revelation is a book of Prophecy: So it is unclear if the battle between the Angel micheal and His Angels and Satan and His Angels has even occured yet::

Revelation 12: KJV
{7} And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, {8} And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. {9} And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."
