It sounded by your last paragraph that you were including yourself as a Charismatic.

I'm Pentecostal,AofG, which is under another name in Canada where I grew up. Now if you are talking about the type of doctrines in your post above Id have to agree with you. We had a group like this come in and take over our church via a Charismatic leaning pastor. Ive seen it all, trust me. It was Jumanji breaking through every time we went to church. We had country line dancing, yes,COUNTRY line dancing. Boot scootin every Sunday. We had women laying in the floor "birthing something spiritual",don't even ask. We had a woman that would run her hands up and down your body reading your "spiritual aura",lucky for her she didn't try it with me. We had the "holy laughter" where all of them would lay in the floor and laugh like idiots. We had the drunk in the spirit folk, fun to watch. Feathers from heaven, gold in the teeth. One woman wanted a "word of knowledge" for her husband who wasn't even saved.

While all of this was happening at once two of our church members were fighting cancer. One lady survived, the other was my aunt who died of stomach cancer. Our members were mourning as she lay in her hospital bed and these people were tearing the church apart. That happened years ago and people have still not been healed of the hurt that those people caused. We tossed the pastor and the circus left town with him. My take on it is that its a way to get somebody, anybody to church. People don't want to hear the old fashioned gospel anymore. We want big churches, whether they know the truth of the Word,we're not so concerned about that. JMO I experienced this foolishness first hand and I am 100% against it.

Now, can you imagine having classes in this? My old church had a training manual!
And this is the verdict: The Light has come into the world, but men loved the darkness rather than the Light, because their deeds were evil. John 3:19

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 8:12

Correction. Jesus was very connected to the rock. He even named the Rock "Peter." And when Peter was tossed out of the upper room that day, the effects are still being felt today.

Yep. That's what I'm talking about. It's about money. Two AOG churchs I have attended were in the red and both switched to Charismatic weirdness in order to get money.

How would I "Prove" you wrong? You either take my word as a witness about people I have known or you don't. I don't have a filmed record of church services over the past 30 years.

Here is how to prove me wrong. Prove that Christian demon possession was a teaching of Jesus and the Apostles?

Which needs saved continually after the new birth...the Spirit? Or the soul?
1Th 3:12 May the Lord greatly increase your love for each other and for all people, just as we love you.

1Th 3:13 Then your hearts will be strong, blameless, and holy in the presence of God, who is our Father, when our Lord Jesus appears with all his saints.

Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.

I will not be held accountable to justify to you the foolishness and false hoods of others in Charismatic movements that do not honor Christ and are shamless in their false tachings.

What I can share with you is that Jesus taught we should do 5 things:
    Preach
    Teach
    Heal
    Deliver
Manifest the Kingdom of God by fulfilling practical needs

He also taught us to do those 5 things 3 different ways:

    Miracles
    Messages
    moments

I have seen the power of God in real ways that have caused the recipient to be physically, emotional, spiritually healed, delivered and set free.

Are you asking Lucy to refute a 1500+ word article?

we believe that the name of 'Christian' alone is enough to feed/succor anyone's Spirit...

if we are called, chosen, elected, what in our dear, precious, Lord's Name,
would give anyone a desire to be associated with anything other than this TITLE, if they are
obeying His and His prophets teachings???

this 'dis-unity' is so very disturbing and so obvious where it has come from...

may our precious Saviour have mercy upon us...
