We've all got 'em! Questions about heaven. From a young age, to adulthood. We ask different questions about heaven depending on how old we are in life. Depending on what we know about heaven. And to be fair, the more we learn about heaven, the more questions there are to ask about it! :D

So let's go down that rabbit hole. What questions about heaven do you have that you'd like to know the answer for?

Maybe you have some questions you'd like to know more than others now. Perhaps as you've got older, the questions you used to have about it aren't as important to you as new questions you have about it.

Perhaps even you're a heavenly scholar writer teacher or expert and although you know a lot about heaven you have some very good and serious questions about heaven. Like where heaven actually is or what being a spiritual being actually means and looks like. Or maybe you're just someone that has more simple questions like can we fly in heaven or will I get the sneezes in heaven? Bless you! :D

Ding Ding Round 2!

Or is it more like start from scratch. I did actually write some really great heavenly questions on my old phone which I'd been working on for a while but life happened and I lost it all. So yeah pointless telling you that but I thought this would be good and never the one to be defeated I want to do this to see where it goes and also just basically get to hear and read about people's actual questions they have about heaven! Whatever they may be!

I love talking about God and heaven. Our future eternal home with God our father as one family of one love all living in our mansions with our family on streets of gold! It's your home. Forever. Jesus even said he's prepared it for us.

So some that is like to know the answer for off the bat.

What is heaven like?
Where is heaven?
How big is heaven?
Does heaven have walls?
Are their clouds in heaven?
Can we fly in heaven?
Will we sleep in heaven?
Will we eat and or drink in heaven?
Will we eat meat and or fish in heaven?
We will feel hunger in heaven?
Will we need to use the toilet in heaven?
Will our nails and hair grow in heaven?
Will we have or can we have tattooes?
What is music like in heaven?
Can we make our own music in heaven?
Are there different music genres in heaven?
Will there be water in heaven?
Will there be lakes and streams?
Rivers and waterfalls and oceans?
Animals?
Talking animals?
Can we talk telepathically in heaven?
Can we get drunk in heaven?
Can we drink too much in heaven?
Can we smoke in heaven?
Can smoking harm you in heaven?
Can we drive/ race cars/ bikes horses etc
Will we have partners in heaven
Will we get crushes on people and date
Can we fall in love with people
Will we make love in heaven
Can women get pregnant in heaven
Do you need to do washing in heaven
Can clothes get creased or torn?
How many pairs of boxer shorts will I need
Can I buy and wear Nike Air Max 90's?
What's the Wi-Fi like in heaven? :p

Are just some questions off the top of my head. As I think up more I'll jot them and return with another batch. :D

Who is wise and of understanding? Where is the learned man and highly esteemed man of the word and the ways of God and knowledge in Him and of Heaven? Please I beseech you place here your own questions you have those that eat away at you in curiosity. Actual mature intelligent worth knowing questions. As opposed to my goofy ones I have perhaps?

Or even little humble you, those getting on in their Christian life and walking relationship with God. To those of you new to the faith and have recently converted found by God no doubt you are buzzing right now and so happy and joyful and full of love and the light of truth. You've just discovered YOU have eternal life with God in Heaven. For REAL that's happening! :) and you must have some Heavenly questions now? :)

What are the questions you've had or have about heaven?

What is your answer/ theory to my questions or other people's questions about heaven? If any? :)

I hate to break this to you, but you aren't going anywhere. Heaven (or The Kingdom of) is coming to earth:

Rev. 21:1-3: "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God."

Of course, when we are speaking of eternity: the sky is the limit. All that Universe out there to upkeep and manage. If we are good we might even get our own planet. As to the rest of that stuff, we are only given small clues. Everyone says that we will have glorified bodies, after our resurrection. I don't agree, we will be spirit.

John said: John 4:24: “God is spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth.”

We are given in 1 John 3:2: "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is." Sounds like we will be spirits too.

Oh well... 23.gif

The answer to many of these questions is that heaven is not a physical place, and we will no longer have physical bodies- therefore we will never hunger, thirst, grow old, etc.
No physical bodies? I guess there's no reason for the resurrection then!

"While they were describing these events, Jesus Himself stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.”But they were startled and frightened, thinking they had seen a spirit.

“Why are you troubled,” Jesus asked, “and why do doubts arise in your hearts? Look at My hands and My feet. It is I Myself. Touch Me and see—for a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.”

Notice in the scripture above, when Jesus appears before his disciples, they become frightened because they think that he is a spirit. But Jesus reassures them that it is he himself by showing them his hands and feet (nail marks) to prove that it was him in the same body that he was buried in. In addition to that, he says, "a spirit does not have flesh and bone as you see I have."

When the resurrection takes place, all of those who have died in Christ will rise from their graves, where God will reanimate their bodies, except immortal and glorified, but they will be physical bodies with heavenly characteristics.

The word "anastasis" translated as "resurrection" is derived from two words "ana - up again, and histemi - to stand." Properly to "stand up again in a physical body." Below is the definition of anastasis:

anastasis: a standing up, i.e. a resurrection, a raising up, rising
Original Word: ἀνάστασις, εως, ἡ
Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
Transliteration: anastasis
Phonetic Spelling: (an-as'-tas-is)
Short Definition: a rising again, resurrection
Definition: a rising again, resurrection.

HELPS Word-studies
386 anástasis (from 303 /aná, "up, again" and 2476 /hístēmi, "to stand") – literally, "stand up" (or "stand again"), referring to physical resurrection (of the body).

Christ's physical resurrection is the foundation of Christianity, which also guarantees the future resurrection of all believers (see Jn 6:39,40,44).

[386 /anástasis ("resurrection") refers to the physical, bodily resurrection of Christ – and people (both of the redeemed and the unredeemed).]

Therefore, we will all have physical bodies of flesh and bone, but immortal and glorified and with heavenly characteristics and abilities.

The Word does seem to indicate strongly that we will eat in our new bodies. Jesus was mentioned eating a lot after His resurrection.

Luke 24:41-43 41And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat? 42And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb. 43And he took it, and did eat before them.

Luke 24:28-32
28 As they approached the village to which they were going, Jesus continued on as if he were going farther.29 But they urged him strongly, “Stay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is almost over.” So he went in to stay with them.30 When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. 31 Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him,and he disappeared from their sight. 32 They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”

"Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light. As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him. Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it? (Amos 5:18-20)

The answer to many of these questions is that heaven is not a physical place, and we will no longer have physical bodies- therefore we will never hunger, thirst, grow old, etc.
We shall have a body like Jesus’.
And the notion that what isn’t physical, isn’t literal is false.
When a man walks by faith in Jesus as he commanded it done, then that man is walking in the spirit and literally has spiritual eyes, hearing, touch etc.
And the flesh doesn’t know a thing about spirit. It’s like Jesus said about the world not knowing of the Holy Ghost because they can’t see the Holy Ghost.
Thomas found out that Jesus has a literal body. As we shall also.
When the scripture says that faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen, it is informing you not to make the mistake of supposing anything taken hold of by faith in Jesus name, lacks substance and evidential truth. And one day what is spirit shall be seen. But not by carnal means.

There is the man Jesus Christ of Nazareth sitting on God’s right hand on the most high throne, in heaven, right now, literally.

Since the Bible clearly presents Heaven as a "physical place" (for want of a better term) you are contradicting Scripture. And since the Bible also clearly presents real, glorified, immortal, "spiritual bodies" -- similar to Christ's resurrected body -- once again you are contradicting Scripture.

Obviously Heaven -- which is pure and perfect -- does not resemble the earth in its degenerate state. But we should never suggest that Heaven is not a real place

We shall have a body like Jesus’.
And the notion that what isn’t physical, isn’t literal is false.
Will His body look like it did when He ascended, from the Mount of Olives, or will it be brighter? He did not look glorious when he left.
I think Jesus' body might have been for recognition purposes. Also, to fulfill the prophecy that His body would not see corruption: Psalms 16:10: "For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption." In any case I cannot see Jesus going for all eternity with those holes in His body.

Paul even suggested that He won't look the same: 2 Corinthians 5:16:"Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we Him no more."

I think if we were to lay eyes on Jesus today, He would reflect the glory of the Father.
References: Revelation 1:12-16: “And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.”

Matthew 16:27: “For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.”

Matthew 24:30: “And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”

Matthew 25:31: “When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:”

Luke 21:27: “And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.”

Mark 8:38: “Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”

Mark 13:26: “And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.”

John 17:5: “And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.”

Revelation 19:11-16: “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, with that it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”

At least someone here read's their Bible. IF we want to know what we will look like in resurrected form, then look at Adam and Eve before the fall and Jesus after his resurrection

Some other really cool things to look forward to....

Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Heaven is where ever the Lord is, in John 14:1-4“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.”

Where was He going, to suffer for our salvation, die on the cross and rise on the third day, the mansion is simply a dwelling He is speaking of our regenerated body like His. Luke 24:39-42
See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.”40 And when he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet.41 And while they still disbelieved for joy and were marveling, he said to them, “Have you anything here to eat?” 42 They gave him a piece of broiled fish,43 and he took it and ate before them.

So we will have a flesh and bone or physical body, Paul add to the dwelling we will receive at the appearing of Christ in II Corinthians 5:1-5

“For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.2 For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling,3 if indeed by putting it on we may not be found naked.4 For while we are still in this tent, we groan, being burdened—not that we would be unclothed, but that we would be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.5 He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.”

Yes we will eat just like Jesus and have physical bodies of flesh and bone, notice our new bodies will not be flesh and blood, because it does not inherit the kingdom of God I Corinthians 15:50
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.”

Here is the kicker, because of this idea that we are going to heaven and the Church does not teach the Bible the JW's recuited so many people that were going to Church because we will inherit the earth like Jesus taught in Matthew 5:5
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.”

Here's the thing about cults, they do teach true, but 99% true with 1% lie is a lie, no good lie does not have truth in it.
