Jesus Christ has defeated demons a long time ago, just like satan.
Yes Jesus defeated demons and He has given us the power to defeat them.

you don't have to go on a demon hunt. they hunt you and whisper lies and cause fights and bickering by "teaching" folks false doctrines and pumping up our pride.

demons love twisting others words and making it seem like someone is insulting you, when they weren't even talking to you. they isolate and alienate folks they can. they prop us their favorite charismatic preacher of false doctrine and torture folks so they can be "delivered" by those same preachers.

basically the same tactics they have used for ages and that God warns about in the BIble, yet folks still fall for it.

There is a reason why God tells us to TAKE EVERY THOUGHT CAPTIVE to the obedience of Christ and TAME YOUR TONGUE. James 3 is great it talks of heavenly wisdom versus demonic earthly wisdom.

There are legions upon legions of demons, like there are legions and legions of germs- too many to count, and way more than there will ever be humans on the earth. But you are right about that they do not multiply like humans do, there are the same amount as there were since creation. But they are not per portioned out lol. They simply go around tempting as many souls as they can, and they leave the ones who cause them to be too patient and they move on to someone else.

But a demon can only tempt a soul to sin, they cannot make a soul sin. Therefore the sinner gets 100% of the blame. Because in order for sin to count against us we have to know the good we ought to do and then choose not to do it- that choice comes from the sinner not the demon.

I remember a conversation I was having with a friend of mine on this very subject....never forget what he said....

He siad Jim..,.I believe that some people just want to flatter themselves in thinking that there ministry or good works are so powerful that Satan has to send a demon or himself to hinder it. When many times it's just poor planning or timing.;)

Nahhh, this isn't the how-many-angels-fit-on-the-head-of-pin question.

This is a the-devil-made-me-do-it question. Demons get blamed for every sin we do. It seems to me that, if that is true, at least one demon must follow a person -- all people -- for there whole lives. And there are 7.6 billion people in the world today, with the population growing exponentially now, so I'm just covering how many demons will be needed before 2020.

As far as I know, (and we really don't have very much info on demons -- nor angels), demons don't grow up, get married, have babies and raise the babies to become productive demons, so do we really each have a demon following us around? How many are there to do that?

Or.... can we take on the responsibility that the-devil-did-not-make-me-do-that?
I figure there are many more than 8 bln.
The bible shows that new angels and demons are created all the time.
If you look at the Hebrew and Greek, you would see that at least certain kinds of demons and angels can and do multiply themselves.
Take a look at the spirit that was on Moses, how it went on the 70 elders.
You might say that it was the Holy Spirit that was on all of them, but if you look at the original language, you would see that God took "a part of" the spirit that was on Moses, and put it on the others.
And what about the devil, when he wanted to be like the most high God.
Again, if you look at the original words you would see that he spreads himself out, or multiplies himself.
Ever wonder why Jesus asked how satan could cast himself out when it was another spirit that he was casting out? For He said, "if I by Beelzebub cast out devils".
Jesus called both beelzebub and devils, satan.
Why did He do that?
And How can Abraham be our father and God be our Father at the same time?
Everything recreates itself, whether it be natural or spiritual.
Didn't God say His word was spirit.
There's a lot of God's word out there.

Can demons posses babies? I don't see why not, it's all fair game when it comes to the Devil. Like him and his demons care how old a human is.
According to you, all babies who die go to hell. Would Satan waste his time on someone before they reached an age where he had to worry about them being saved?

Where did he say he believed all babies go to hell?
