2 The beginning of the word of the Lord by Hosea. And the Lord said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the Lord. 3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived, and bare him a son.

Should we only marrry in your own sect? (Makes me rethink )
I know it was for good reason though. That God told him to do so. To show them their sin.
How much bearing might this have on today?
Jesus is the groom. The Church is the bride. Is what God is teaching through Hosea's example any different than today?

Who held the marriage together?

Considering Hosea 1 is the beginning of Hosea's ministry and he ministered for at least 60 years, did he love his wife and children?

I marvel at the Lord loving us thoroughly knowing who we are. I marvel at how he changes us. And I marvel how he out-and-out tells some what their future holds.

But you are leaning on a spirit of your own imagination. The Gnostic approach to reading you exhibited allows anyone to make up anything they want to make up out of a Bible story.
you are lacking in the Spirit of Knowledge.
A tithe is important to remember here. a tenth reserved for destruction as the people hide.
Unless if samaria was a woman at the well?
yehu is the tenth king if i remember correctly. So a house divided against itself?

Ten men being a legal congregation.

five men to the north and five men to the south.
If faithful husbands to the command though shall not covet
the five to the north should face north to their wives and likewise the five men to south should face south to their wives.

Lean on the Lord in the
Spirit of Understanding.

Blessings Always

the false prophets are known by their mantle because they will not know the Toruth

a man against his father,
a daughter against her mother,
a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law,

so that a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.

Hosea 1 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

1 This is the word of Adonai that came to Hoshea the son of Be’eri during the reigns of ‘Uziyah, Yotam, Achaz and Y’chizkiyah, kings of Y’hudah, and during the reign of Yarov‘am the son of Yo’ash, king of Isra’el. 2 Adonai’s opening words in speaking to Hoshea were to instruct Hoshea,
“Go, marry a whore,
and have children with this whore;
for the land is engaged in flagrant whoring,
whoring away from Adonai.”

3 So he went and married Gomer the daughter of Divlayim, and she conceived and bore him a son. 4 Adonai said to him, “Call him Yizre‘el, because in only a short time I will punish the house of Yehu for having shed blood at Yizre‘el; I will put an end to the kingdom of the house of Isra’el. 5 When that day comes, I will break the bow of Isra’el in the Yizre‘el Valley.”
6 She conceived again and bore a daughter. Adonai said to him, “Name her Lo-Ruchamah [unpitied], for I will no longer have pity on the house of Isra’el. By no means will I forgive them. 7 But I will pity the house of Y’hudah; I will save them not by bow, sword, battle, horses or cavalry, but by Adonai their God.”
8 After weaning Lo-Ruchamah, she conceived and bore a son. 9 Adonai said, “Name him Lo-‘Ammi [not-my-people], because you are not my people, and I will not be your [God].

God having divorced the nation of Israel as a whole (not all Israel is Israel as the bride. )When he said it is finished the divorce was finalized.. The veil was rent indicating the divorced Jews rejected the promise. Placing the apostate Jew in the same place as a gentile in need of a savoir.

And I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for another man: so will I also be for thee. For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim:Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days. Hos 3:3

The latter days is marked by the renting of the veil, the time of reformation had come..we are in the last days, many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim ( an outward representative)

The bride of Christ is typified as the mother of us all

But Jerusalem (the bride of Christ) which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband. Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free. Gal 4:26
