2 The beginning of the word of the Lord by Hosea. And the Lord said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the Lord. 3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived, and bare him a son.

Should we only marrry in your own sect? (Makes me rethink )
I know it was for good reason though. That God told him to do so. To show them their sin.
How much bearing might this have on today?

Take a pass on the ungodly whore as a wife. Thankfully, Hosea was around and has already been used as the illustration of how God took us spiritual whores out of the world and made us the bride despite our spiritual whoredoms.

It doesn't say it has anything to do with today.

adultery, is like greed.

marry a prostitute and sell her flesh to those who lust after her.
doing so to make yourself wealthy in worldly desires.
Sin is measured by the hardness of the heart.

I dont know of many men who would want this for their wives, sisters or daughters.

yet spiritually how have the false prophets presented the bride of christ in order to deceive the Masses of people that are seeking the Truth in our King.

Oh I see. You're one of those Charismatics who practice a Gnostic approach to literature.
While I agree with your previous point, you are significantly off base in accusing 7777pinacled, and you're dragging your groundless anti-charismatic slander into yet another thread. Get off it. He is referring to the synagogue, not to the church.

Not only are you significantly off base in accusing 7777pinacled at all in this regard, you're dragging your baseless anti-charismatic slander into yet another thread. Get off it. He is referring to the synagogue, not to the church.
Newsflash!! Synagogues didn't exist when Hosea wrote this.

Oi vey! You really need to read that book, if you've decided that marriage was about greed, he sold his wife, and he's a false prophet.

sorry, but i really have no idea why you would carry on in such a manner. I was honestly going to give a gift the Lord gave me some time ago.

Ten men being a legal congregation.
five men to the north and five men to the south.

If faithful to the command though shall not covet

the five to the north should face north to their wives and likewise the five men to south should face south to their wives.

Lean on the Lord in the Spirit of Understanding.

Blessings Always

I wasn't asserting that they did. Since you made the assertion that they didn't though, I welcome you to attempt to prove it.

Nothing in scripture asks us to repeat history.

It would end with, "Now go and teach everyone to do the same".

the false prophets are known by their mantle

a man against his father,
a daughter against her mother,
a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law,

so that a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.

Hosea 1 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

1 This is the word of Adonai that came to Hoshea the son of Be’eri during the reigns of ‘Uziyah, Yotam, Achaz and Y’chizkiyah, kings of Y’hudah, and during the reign of Yarov‘am the son of Yo’ash, king of Isra’el. 2 Adonai’s opening words in speaking to Hoshea were to instruct Hoshea,
“Go, marry a whore,
and have children with this whore;
for the land is engaged in flagrant whoring,
whoring away from Adonai.”

3 So he went and married Gomer the daughter of Divlayim, and she conceived and bore him a son. 4 Adonai said to him, “Call him Yizre‘el, because in only a short time I will punish the house of Yehu for having shed blood at Yizre‘el; I will put an end to the kingdom of the house of Isra’el. 5 When that day comes, I will break the bow of Isra’el in the Yizre‘el Valley.”
6 She conceived again and bore a daughter. Adonai said to him, “Name her Lo-Ruchamah [unpitied], for I will no longer have pity on the house of Isra’el. By no means will I forgive them. 7 But I will pity the house of Y’hudah; I will save them not by bow, sword, battle, horses or cavalry, but by Adonai their God.”
8 After weaning Lo-Ruchamah, she conceived and bore a son. 9 Adonai said, “Name him Lo-‘Ammi [not-my-people], because you are not my people, and I will not be your [God].

But you are leaning on a spirit of your own imagination. The Gnostic approach to reading you exhibited allows anyone to make up anything they want to make up out of a Bible story.

None whatsoever.

King James Bible
For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.(2 Cor 11:2).
