The name, David. A simple name, right?
Did you know David, daleth vav daleth, means Beloved
in Hebrew.

It means Beloved to me always, and when I have read
references to our King David, I do not think of the
son of Jesse, no, I always think of Jesus.......
(of course when the story of Samuel is told, I think of the son of Jesse.)

Jesse, the Father of the Beloved, is also an interesting name when translated.

Jesse, yod samech yod, means redeemer or savior.

So following these translations from the OT we see and
learn the Beloved is the son of the Redeemer.

You may need to pray on this and meditate........it does not take away nor add to our God....

as long as one does not meditate on Paul's writings , right? you say that real, true mature Christians do not need to read Paul, so lets spend our time in the O.T., meditating on the Law and Sabbath, which do not save.

real Christians do not need to read Paul. the dumbest thing I have ever heard someone say about the Bible.

The whole Bible is a love letter to us. How can you attack somebody for reading the OT?

Jamie j told me a few months ago that " real, mature Christians do not need to read Paul's letters, they were for churches that had problems ", thereby stating that believers need not read over half the N.T. ( nothing to do with Paul repeating that keeping the law does not save, i'm sure ).

now, why do you lie and say that one must keep the jewish Sabbath to be saved, when the N.T. ( not renewed , new ), does not say so.

Elijah means the Lord is God, Jah is God.

his successor, Elisha's name means God is salvation. Elisha received a double portion of the Spirit that was upon Elijah ((2 Kings 1-2)) - "an hard thing"

Jesus, Yeshua means salvation

Isaiah 43:11

I, [even] I, [am] the LORD; and beside me [there is] no saviour.

Bethlehem translates as the House of Bread......Beit lecham.

How fitting our Lord is born in the House of Bread, especially since He declared Himself
to be the Bread From Heaven.

pulling a Jamie j would be making the ridiculous statement that " real, true, mature Christians do not need to read Paul's letters"

Being from Nazareth, Jesus Christ was called a Nazar......

Nazar means simply "The Branch," thus fulfilling the prophecy
that He would be called the Servant of God, The Branch..

Many people who love our Messiah are not aware of all of the prophecy fulfilled in writings of the Word simply because there are many words not completely translated.

This thread is to add to the joy of what all already know because of the Lamb of God, because of the cross.

If you are here to be souring the pot, it is not of the Holy Spirit, and it is not of love.

God bless you and all, now, stay in the joy.........

funny

I don't understand the op to be saying the above at all

rather, I understand YOU to be saying you are hitching a past gripe to this thread and need attention

I think that someone saying this is a big deal. no, of course Jamie j did not say it here, yes it is a past gripe.

I think it is very big deal to understand what someone really thinks. if one knows from what point of view that another is speaking from. so, I just from time to time to point out to new people or guests to see the views that he has, so then better understand of what is being said, and it's end goal.

also, notice, no denial from him about saying, he sure did, about 4 months or so ago, and I am pretty sure at least once since then.

nope

what I am actually saying, is that you are being a small person to derail the thread

I am sure you had a go in the other thread already

you know, I do believe in judgement...but the right kind

I have never seen the op deny Jesus and he has a different understanding then you do

IMO, many people would do right by themselves and others if they would stick their head into the OT a little more

do I think we should ignore Paul? no...but that is not the discussion here and actually the discussion here is a pretty nice one
