Hello my fellow believers,
I lived as a Muslim for many years; However, It’s been months since I’ve been reborn into the one and only truth that Jesus is our Lord and Savior. I saw Jesus, he spoke to me clearly in my sleep for many consecutive nights and in my mornings it’s also clear that a higher being is helping me in every step. The more I surrendered to Jesus’s eternal love, the more i realised that he is the cure to every struggle i ever had. God is love and love is all I’ve seen from Lord Christ. Thus, i decided to start missionary work in Egypt, where i live.

I tried spreading the word of God, all i have for others is love and i want everyone to be saved just like I’ve finally been saved; Nonetheless, my country has a great Muslim majority and the punishment for apostasy in Islam is death. Needless to say, many see me with eyes filled with pure hatred and even intent for murder.
Out of fear for my life i stopped preaching the word of God, out of fear for my life i stopped admitting that Jesus is lord because otherwise, they would kill me or my family and even go as far as block your bank accounts and all that you own.

I truly love God, i wanna spread his word, i wanna show others the truth i have seen after many years, i truly want to serve but there’s a struggle within me, it goes as follows :

A- It’s unacceptable to denounce Jesus for he has said
For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels." (Mark 8:38).
"But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 10:33)

B- It’s wise to follow God only in my heart in the times of persecution and murder for he has said

“When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. Truly I tell you, you will not finish going through the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.” (Matthew 10:23)“Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. ( Matthew 10:16 )

..........
I’m asking for your prayers and advice on what to do next......
i know it’s a great sin to denounce Jesus, i want to become a pastor, i want to do ministry work; However, persecution is a real problem over here. Help.

Am I naive or could i actually achieve my dream ?

what not one useful response ??

I have revisited your earlier thread and read the
responses posted and your compliments on those.
I get the impression you were rather pleased with the
support and advice given.

Are there no Christians in Egypt for you to pray with?
No Christians for you to fellowship with?

Are you seeking to emigrate to the U.S.A. ??

It's easy for me to sit here and give advice since I live in America but I suggest you read Matthew 10:26-31. Also remember the classic example of the Apostle Peter denying Jesus Christ three times and look what happened to him afterwards. You are being prayed for john 44. What does the 44 stand for? PS: If it's any consolation there are many Christians even living in the US that are afraid to speak out.

Brother I will be praying for your safety but you must be praying continually about this, God will guide you - if your dreams were this strong then God is with you, He will find a way. Are you in Egypt? There are many Christians in Egypt, maybe you can find safety amongst them but if you feel your life is in danger maybe you should consider moving to a Christian country.

In answer to your question; yes of course Jesus is the forgiver of sins but you must not wilfully continue to sin and you must confess to The Lord and ask forgiveness. Actually this is topical for me as last night I took part in a Bible study which posed the question "is it ever OK for a Christian to lie". There are ways you can avoid telling the truth by withholding something or side-stepping it. God's commandment "you shall not bear false witness" is not exactly "you shall not lie". There is a difference and when a life is at stake...it's a tough one. My advice is get out if you feel your life is in danger but keep asking God to protect you and guide you through this. Stay with Him, He will not leave your side - He is always with you.

Stay safe brother.

Mr. Waggles
Sir, The answers to your questions are simple.
1- their answers were helpful in the sense that they were very encouraging and aupportive; However, I’m asking a simple question, will God forgive someone who denies him, no one answered that.
2- it’s extremely hard to find christians to fellowship with sincw the government could arrest us all, so no one comes out, my beat friend could be a Christian and I wouldn’t know it.
3- im not seeking to emigrate anywhere, i just wanna serve God and get an answer to a wuestion that is keeping me up at night, will God forgive a sinner who denounces him !?
Please sir, there’s no need to go through the trouble of searching in my past threads just to patronize me
I'm a lost person who has no one to talk to about God, if you’re not willing to help then you don’t need to trouble yourself with replying to my thread.

God forgave Peter for denying Jesus 3 times....God builds our faith so that we can be brave enough to die for Him if needed.

Pray and ask God to find courage to stand for His gospel and truth.

will God forgive someone who denies him,

Ariel82, please allow me to explain,
The punishment in Islam for apostasy is death; In other words, my punishment for becoming a christian will be VERY severe in a Muslim-Majority country.
there are hundreds of churches in Egypt and Millions of Christians; However, converts are a different case entirely.
Christians who were born Christian can do whatever they want but converts like myself are in danger because the punishment for apostasy is death!
They would threat you, lock you up, you and your family and friends and even attempt physical harm against you and your loved ones
the situation is very complicated
Btw, Lord Jesus has told us that we will be hated because we’re following him
“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.” (John 15:18 )

I know there are Christians but I can’t just go pray like everyone else because i have a muslim name and people will know that i converted!

With our study, our pastor explained the difference. I found this which explains a little...now bear in mind that in Judaism following the law is paramount because there is no grace - which we are under. I found this which should help explain a little: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thou_shalt_not_bear_false_witness_against_thy_neighbour

When Jesus was in front of Pilate He chose not to speak rather than lie...also bluto explained about Peter denying Jesus 3 times yet was forgiven and went on to be a wonderful speaker for The Lord, speaking to the masses and boldly after Pentecost and The Holy Spirit's anointing.

When the Bible speaks of God hating liars, it talks of those who practice lying, not those who are forced to lie to save themselves.

Ok fine, as far as 44 is concerned. And yes, you already are forgiven your sins past present and future. I would like you to read 1John chapter 1&2 and chapter 3, especially vs9. Vs9 is talking about not making it a habit to sin and not that we don't sin at all. Btw, don't ask me how long a "habit" is because I don't know. I suspect it's different for each person, that is in Gods hands.

And yes, there is a certain amount of persecution in the US but I would say we are "sissy's" when it comes to persecution. I mean by that some Christians think they are being persecuted even if someone says something negative about their Christianity. I'm sure there will be a time when "REAL" persecution will hit us here in the US. Btw, Billy Graham who just died at 99 years old said he ask for forgiveness and peace everyday of his life. So hang in there, you can do it too.

Not in the way you would be persecuted but yeah in the US and also the UK we are becoming increasingly marginalised and it is getting to the stage that it's celebrated if you come out as "gay" but if you come out as Christian you are often vilified. I'm afraid that what the Bible prophecies is coming to fruition.

Amazing grace,
thank you for your reply,
Now, I can clearly see the distinction your referring to, it makes sense that God would forgive those who are forced.
thanks again for your helpful insight

I guess it's not possible for you to move to some place people dont know you and change your name?

(saul had his name changed to Paul, lots of people in the Bible change their names)
However it would be hard to work as a lawyer...

I don't have answers but Jesus did have "secret" disciples who were part of the Jewish sanhendrein....like Joseph and Nicademous......

My only suggestions would be to.Pray and ask God what He would have you do. Try your best to remain silent instead of lie and do what you can to worship God and learn to be a part of His Body.

Whatever God has in store for me, must be better than whatever I could’ve planned for myself
