The story of Noah is literal, if it were figurative there would be no need to mention the names of those that entered. Not at all sure what a chednut is. Glad to have you join us. Welcome to CC.
Literal. In fact Jesus quoted this event in Genesis at Matthew 24:37-39 and at Luke 17:26,27. The Apostle Peter made mention of it at 1 Peter 3:20. Any other questions? And welcome to the forums theresa.
The flood of Noah is literal history. There is much debate over whether the flood was local or global (I say global, though I'm not wanting to debate it here), but among Christians, there is far less about whether it is literal history. Jesus referred to the flood more than once, in Matthew 24 and Luke 17. Peter referred to it as well.
Chedtnut is a fictional word used to illustrate something and I can define it since it is fictional...
Chedtnut:word used to express in short-Cheddar twizzler nutrients.
What this has to do with Noah I have no idea.
See, you jofizzz, have a good sense of humor like me. Look under my name bluto and you will see the two letters "op" which stand for on purpose. I purposefully used "chessnut." Keep up the good work.
There are excellent books on the evidence in geology
that proves Noah's flood is true.
Anthropology also reveals a common story amongst all
traditional societies through their folklore.
Also there are really good videos on YouTube that show the
evidence for the great flood of Genesis.
Also if you go to the Mount Ararat region in Turkey they believe
it to be very true - there are enormous stones that have holes
carved in the top nearby - anchor stones.

What me have a sense humor?
Not at all I was merely "defining" things that "needed" defining we Joefizzes are very serious and logical like Vulcans just ask Blue lady bug I don't tell jokes or get people to laugh I'm completely humdrum!
The word was probably Chestnut and you will find it in Ezk 31.. where God compares Nations to the Mighty Tree of Assyria or the Cedar Tree of Lebanon. You will find that He is comparing other trees in the Garden of Eden against the tree of Assyria.
Note: in the NKJV and other versions the word has been changed to Chestnut.. However, in the KJV the word is Chesnut. This was the tree in the Garden of Eden who's branches could not compare to the mighty (cedar) tree of Assyria (Ezk 31:7-9).
From what I can tell it had nothing to do with Noah. The wood used for the ARK was Gopher Wood.
Yikes! That narrator (is it Trey Smith?) sounds extremely freaky... and the ominous music is too distracting. I really tried to listen, as the content seemed very intriguing. But I seriously can’t put up with 3 hours of his weird voice inflection and the eerie music. Maybe I can find it in written form online.
i have heard people use this idiom to mean also "something hard to crack" which has been around ((and hard to crack)) for a long time. what may seem like an old wive's tale but may yet be true, something that's puzzled generations
