Since this is your thread I wanted to ask you the following questions:

Do you classify using banks, dating and celebrating Christmas as sins?

Your use of "Jehovah" raises red flags, as does the phrase, "father of your faith".

What is your agenda? Why post such a cryptic opening post? I encourage you to flesh it out, and thereby show what you're on about.

There might be some point in not using banks. They pay a pittance in interest. :)

If you smell something foul I advise one of two things, [1] check your pockets [ 2 ] squeeze your nose with your thumb and index finger.

Teaching in the name of Jehovah raises red flags, what did that mean? Have you had a bad experience with Jehovah? And I am not sure if you are knowledgeable of the bible teachings or you have a side agenda to discredit my understanding of the scriptures concerning Jehovah and the Prophet Abraham [[[[
Galatians 3:7 [SUP]7[/SUP]Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham.Romans 4:16 [SUP]16[/SUP]Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham's offspring-not only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all.Hebrews 11:8 [SUP]8[/SUP]By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. If you should find me leaving biblical scripture or engaging in those that are not entirely clear advise me, counsel me .....

When I see Jehovah, I suspect Charles Russel's witlessness. Mr. Russel is the rat Lucy smells.

Either God is such a poor communicator that He allowed his Church to wander in darkness and confusion for more than 1800 years; or Mr. Russel got it wrong. I believe Mr Russel got it wrong! Mr russel made several false predictions of Jesus return. That makes hin a false prophet, END OF CASE!!!

Since you don't use Reply With Quote it is hard to know who you are responding to. I don't think anyone is mocking 'Lord Jehovah's instructions, more likely mocking your instructions.

Romans 4:16 [SUP]16[/SUP]Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham's offspring-not only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all.
Here is what the KJB says:

Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all.

So the question is, in what sense is Abraham "the father of us all" and who is "us"? The context is the faith of Abraham and how it was imputed to him as righteousness by the grace of God. Abraham therefore is held up as an example of a sinner who believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness. Therefore every sinner who believes and obeys the Gospel similarly is deemed righteous by God's grace because of his (or her) faith.

So Abraham is metaphorically shown to be the ancestor ("father") of every believer ("the seed") who is justified by grace through faith. That is all there is to it.

The father of faith? Isn't that some guy named Abraham? Now, I gotta goggle Genesis to verify this. On second thought, no. My father is my Heavenly Father.

I said nothing about "teaching in the name of Jehovah". You started the thread using a "name" for God that is associated with a cult, in a post with very little substance to it. Cultists and trolls use similar tactics to bait the unsuspecting into unfruitful discussion.

Which do you believe: that Jesus is God, or that Jesus is "a god"? Or is it some other belief?

The "Reply With Quote" button at lower right is very useful, btw.
