really?

I implied that IF what OTHER PEOPLE SAID WAS TRUE was TRUE< that wasd the ONLY OPTION.

I never implied it was an option,. Keep this nonsense up and I will have to ignore you. I do not take people who slander others even after they have been told numerous times they are wrong about what they think someone said.

I NEVER IMPLIED IT WAS AN OPTION.

just another strawman

....

such a shame

1 John 1:10

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10“If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”

i know you are being falsely accused

i see the error of his assumption

Fallacies of the OSAS debate.

1. OSAS proponents DO NOT believe osas is an excuse to sin

2. Non-osas proponents do not live in fear of having to work out their salvation

3. The size of the debate GREATLY exceeds the size of the threat.

if this is all there is, i will stick to trust god and not myself all day long. And continue to believe eternal life is eternal and not conditional.

And if that's not happening in your life then you show yourself to be in unbelief, and you will not be saved when Jesus comes back.

Doesn't matter if you never believed to begin with, or you stopped believing later. If you don't have God in you changing you, you show that you are in unbelief and you will not enter the kingdom of God when he returns.

You people have made this so complicated. Once saved always saved is a meaningless argument. It does not change the fact that you have to be a new creation changing into the image of Christ to enter into the kingdom. If you aren't, you show yourself to be in unbelief, and you will not be saved when Jesus comes back. You won't be saved then because you are not saved now, your life showing that you do not believe.
If once saved always saved is such a meaningless argument then why do so many "wise" still try to argue against it?

You don't HAVE to be a new creation. You ARE a new creation in Christ. Its just a fact in Salvation. You can't start out as a new creation and then go back to being not a new creation just because you decided to.

This really is not complicated. Its explained by scripture and common sense. But until you come to Christ and are saved then you won't really understand either.

Then they don't really understand their own position, do they?

How would it be possible to know you could lose your salvation at any moment and NOT be fearful of that?

Isn't not being saved a fearful thing? It is to me.

Once you are saved and remain true to your faith, and don't reject God, then you will be saved to the end.

Simply means rejection of God, error from the faith, and teaching another Jesus other than the right one. That is all about rejecting God and the word of God after having known the real truth.

We can't be unsaved. The Word tells us in the last days many will depart from the faith. We see this when many followers of Jesus were offended by His Words and turned away. The scriptures tell us to work out our salvation with fear and trembling. Also to run the race and finish it. Hebrews six and ten tell us what it means to depart from the faith. It means we fall away and the word fall there is to became an apsostate. and reject our salvation and deny the gift the Holy Spirit Who Jesus sent and said, Who will never leave us. As it is one of the Spirits jobs to reveal Jesus to us through reading the Word and prayer. A Brother In Christ.

Unfortunately my friend some people will use a forum to beat others over the head with the Word and not simply see a comment as something to ponder. I always take others anger and see if it affects me and I need to see the area in my life Jesus wants to correct. I learnt along time ago if they don't receive what we say in peace not to reply. A BROTHER IN CHRIST

Gee and we were getting along so well without the personal barbs.

Do I have to drag out the list again to show who is the true 'oracle'?

It just goes to show the mindset. To me it tells me they did not realise their situation to begin with.

There is to much “you” in there and not enough “God” in their.

You do not have the power to do anything, when you realise this, I think maybe th elight will come on. And you will finaly see

Yeah John spoke of this.

A person who rejects God denys christ. And this is what John calls them.

1 Johnn 2:22 Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. 23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

And what does he say about those who are liars, who one time said they believed in God and was part of the church?

18 Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the[c] Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.

I think it is clear. They never were of us (never were saved) and they departed to PROVE they were never of us to beghin with.

What does John say about true believers of God?

20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.[d] 21 I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

It is quite simple. Just trust it. And stop trusting yourself.

Amen! Those who are truly born of God have received a new nature, a divine nature (2 Peter 1:4), and they have new and different appetites and desires. They have been transformed from dogs and pigs into sheep. The change is more than just cosmetic, as in 2 Peter 2:20. *Those cleaned up on the outside dogs and pigs were never sheep.

Sadly there are to many wolves who are dressed up as sheeps trying to get little red riding hood

This was on my Disqus this morning by CS Berean, and it was so good, I thought I'd share it here.

If a Born-Again Christian willingly chooses to lose their salvation, after receiving Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior and repenting of their sin (Acts 2:38, 16:31; Rom 10:9-10), the common-sense, logical reality is that God, the Father, would have to ask Jesus, God the Son, to give back His gift of love to Him and fail to honor His promise to never cast them out (Jn 6:37) and ask God, the Holy Spirit to disobey the Father's commands and permanently withdraw His presence. The person would have to un-drink the water of eternal life given by Jesus and so that they will be thirsty again (Jn 4:14).

Jesus would have to do the following:

Quit as their defense attorney (1 Jn 2:1)
No longer protect or keep them safe (Jn 17:9-12)
Divorce them (Rev 19:7)
Rescind their citizenship of Heaven (Jn 15:16; Eph 2:12-13,19)
Put them back into the world (Jn 17:16)
Blot out their names from the book of life (Rev 3:5)
Allow death and life, angels and rulers, things present and things to come, powers, height, and depth, and anything else in all creation, to separate them from the love of God found in Him (Rom 8:38-39)

My sister was a Christian a few years back. She left her faith because of ex's betrayal of marriage. In this case, it is with legitimate reason for abandoning her faith. I am still praying for her to return back to God. If she doesn't want God anymore, does it mean God will wipe away her eternal citizenship? I hope not.....But she has drifted and became a Buddhist. So sad!
