No. They are no longer God’s people, so that’s like asking if we should build a temple for any nation. God does not reside in temples anyways. My body is God’s temple, and also the bodies of every other Christian.
Gods Covenant With Israel Is Never Ending
THE CONTEXT OF ROMANS 11 IS ""ISRAEL""
Romans 11:8 According as it is written, God hath given them (Israelites) the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear; unto this day.
9 David saith, Let their table be made a snare, a trap, a stumblingblock unto them:
10 Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.
11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.
(NOTE: Thru Israels temporary seperation. Salvation came to the Gentiles, to provoke them to jealousy.)
12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?
(NOTE: In due season/time the Holy Spirit say's Israel's fulness will come)
24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?
(NOTE: For a time God has placed his focus on the gentiles. Soon he will return all the focus back to Israel)
25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
(NOTE: God has temporarily bilnded Israels understanding. Until the fulness of the gentile time is complete. See Lk 21:24)
26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
(NOTE: When the gentile time is completed. Jacob/Israel will be completely restored)
27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
(NOTE: Total restoration & salvation awaits Jacob/Israel. See Jer 31:31-33 & Heb 10:16)
28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.
(NOTE: Context here is Israel. Temporarily seperated, yet, they are still beloved)
29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
(NOTE: He called/choose Israel & will never change His mind)
30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
(NOTE: The door of salvation was opened to the gentiles. Due to Israels unbelief in rejecting Messiah)
31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
(NOTE: Israel is currently in unbelief. Soon they will see God's mercy)
32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
(NOTE: God has temporarily concluded ALL of Israel in unbelief. Soon he will have mercy on ALL believers everywhere)
This notion that God has left and/or given up on his Israel his Chosen People. Is unscriptural & completly ridiculous!
Zechariah 12:And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son,
John 19:37 (b) They shall look on him whom they pierced.
Revelation 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
Luke 13:
34 Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!
35 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
REREAD verse 35. Jesus said He would not return to Jerusalem until His people called out for Him and blessed His name.
The end time restoration and salvation of the Jewish people is clear. Jesus won't return, until His people cry out to Him.
And to where is Jesus going to return? The same place we saw Him ascend from, Acts 1:9-12. The Mount of Olives and it will split in half. Zec 14:1-5
The point has been made above; Jesus won't come back, until the The Whole Nation of Israel. Cry's out to Him:
"Baruch Ha Ba B'Shem Adonai" (Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord). Reread vs 35
