Okay, so I'm going to break my tradition of not teaching on here. This IS a teaching!

That said, the purpose is different than most teachings on this forum. In the end, the goal is not for you to agree with me. I don't care if you do or don't. The goal is to make it easier for people to use words right, so we're all on the same page when we use these words.

The word is "Salvation." People use this word in a very tiny way or they overuse this word in too big a way. There is order to salvation. What order? Well, that's for you to decide, until the Lord teaches you enough that you may or may not change that.

Sanctification is not salvation, yet everyone believes in sanctification because it is a part of salvation, no matter which order you agree with. Repentance is not salvation, yet almost everyone believes in it as a part of salvation.

What I am asking is for people to understand that salvation is a process. Some of it takes a long time, and some of it feels like an instant. But there is order to it, and whether we work, accept God's grace, or do both does not affect salvation. It affects a portion of salvation that is called "sanctification." (Granted, if you don't work or you do not trust the Lord for his grace, you're back to seriously considering if you are saved yet, but that doesn't affect sanctification or salvation. That just shows if you are saved yet.)

Someone is asking what happens after salvation. There is no after salvation. We are either saved or not saved, but it never ends.

So, what am I trying to say? Learn the choices for the Order of Salvation, so you understand what you believe. That way we don't have to keep arguing over stuff simply because we don't know the right words.

Here is the link to Wiki's "Different Schemes" for The Order of Salvation. (Good news. It's accurate, even if it's not divine writing.)

Feel free to pick which one you agree with. But do get the idea what salvation means from the order of it, so we don't keep arguing over stuff we'd actually agree with, if we just understood the words being used.

(And then we can argue over which order is right. lol)

That article has Calvinist leanings.

I don't remember reading anything by John Wesley about "foreknowledge" or "conditional election" and believe they are added beliefs not held by most Methodist.

Here is an article that explains the order of salvation from the Wesleyan tradition

The Order of Salvation in John Wesley’s Theology | Dane's Place

Typically the list would be:

Previent grace (which includes people hearing the. Gospel message)

Justifying grace by accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior

being born again also referred to as being adopted into the family of God

Sanctifying grace by learning to walk with the Holy spirit

Glorification (only happens after death and upon ressure tion of New bodies)

What he means is what happens after justification. Which is perfectly valid. So there is sanctification and glorification AFTER justification.

Ask the Lord for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk in it (Jer. 6:16). How long will you and others hault between two opinions (1 King 18:21)? Choose you this day whom ye will serve - The LORD or the false way by Demon Spirits (Joshua 24:15).

Oh yeah, I remember where Joshua told them to chose either the Lord or Demon Spirits. That's the very special MotC version of the Bible with extra verses in between all the real verses, right?

I wasn't making reference to Wiki.
Well since the only place I linked to was wiki, it's either that or you are hallucinating. And I'm beginning to think it's the latter.

My Lord Borther, if you do not understand it that does not make it from a demon and why in the world would you capitalize demon are they that important to you?

You remind me of me when I did not understnd things of the Bible and thought that being filled with the Spirit was all I needed, when it is the Holy Spirit that wrote or influanced the Word of God and He makes no mistakes. So the best way to make a point is to use God's Word to make it because He will never fails.

Here is the way I see the order of salvation.

Foreknowldge
Predestination
Election
Union With Christ
Calling
Regeneration
Faith/Belief
Justification
Adoption
Sanctification
Perseverance/Preservation
Glorification

Foreknowledge, Predestination, Calling and Glorification. Romans 8:29-30 “For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.30 And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.”

Union With Chirst and Sancitification, Ephesians 2:4-10 “But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us,5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,7 so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

Regeneration and Justification Titus 3:4-7
“But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared,5 he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,6 whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior,7 so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”

Foreknowledge, Predestination, Election, Adoption, Union With Christ, Calling, Faith/Belief,
Perseverance/Preservation and Glorification. Ephesians 1:3-7 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love5 he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,6 to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.....

11 In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will,12 so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory.13 In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.

Foreknowlege, Predetiation, Election, Union With Christ and
Glorification. Romans 9:11 “though they were not yet born and had done nothing either good or bad—in order that God's purpose of election might continue, not because of works but because of him who calls”

Foreknowlege, Predetiation, Election, Union With Christ, Glorification, Calling, Regeneration, Faith/Belief, Justification, Adoption, Sanctification and Perseverance/Preservation all prepared and done before the foundations of the world. Revelation 13:7-8
“Also it was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them. And authority was given it over every tribe and people and language and nation,8 and all who dwell on earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain.”

All was accomplished in Christ in His suffering and death on the cross and foreseen before the foundations pf the world, this is why OT saints could be saved y believing in the coming Messiah and we are saved by believing in the Messiah that came. I believe that the Union With Christ is one f the most forgotten doctrines, yet one of the most beautiful doctrines. It is because of our Union With Christ that these doctrine can be applied to God's people before the foundation of the world.

Please do not twist my words a person still needs to repent and live out the Christian life to show that they are one of God'speople I John 2:19
“They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us.”

In the same way that those that do not stay with us in this life of suffering for Christ, those that never join in the race or fight as Paul put it. We look to John's word's knowing that those that do not stay were never of us we can also deduct that if they were never with us they are not part of God's people or part of the elect.

I know what I have written here is not on the list on that website, so I do not know where I fit, but I have always said I am not a Calvinist nor an Arminian either, I just believe in the Bible and what it says and teaches. I know I am on the boat and those on the boat are saved, we all need to have our faith in Christ and Christ alone, being justified by faith alone, relying on grace alone, using the Scriptures alone to the glory of God alone. I just hope that I stay on the boat so I can know that I truely am of the household of faith.
