If Jesus is more attractive to us than sin, we will overcome.

“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.16 For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.17 And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.”

I do not see anything that in and of itself is sin, it is the love of the world that is so strong for the things of the world that you have no love for the Father and where does it come from? The lust (desires) flesh, of the eyes and the pride of life is what is not from the Father and there for is sin, why? Because all the things of the world are passing away, but the things of the Father are forever. It is so easy for us as humans to foucus on what we can see in front of us and not on what is by faith, this is why Romans 1:17
“The righteous shall live by faith.” Why? Hebrews 11:1-3

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.2 For by it the people of old received their commendation.3 By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.”

Verse one shows us that we are not relying on blind faith, because it is the assurance and the conviction of things not seen.
