[h=1]Proverbs 9:13-18 King James Version (KJV)[/h]
[SUP]13 [/SUP]A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing. [SUP]14 [/SUP]For she sitteth at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city, [SUP]15 [/SUP]To call passengers who go right on their ways: [SUP]16 [/SUP]Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: and as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him, [SUP]17 [/SUP]Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant. [SUP]18 [/SUP]But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.

Chapter 9 is a continuation of the argument begun a few chapters previous. The "foolish woman" is contrasted with "wisdom" who is also personified. The point is that the reader is directed to consider the long-term results of chasing wisdom versus those of ignoring or rejecting wisdom. There is a loud, clamorous "wisdom" that the world offers, which may have "apparent" benefits in the short term, but in the end leads to death.

This is speaking of a prostitute. She is headed for hell, and inviting the unwise to go with her by participating in sin. It’s kinda like she’s saying “What happens in Vegas stays in Vagas.” But God knows sin that is done in secret.

It's an adulterous woman or a prostitute who lures men to her house and engages in sexual immoral behavior...it warns men not to be tempted because her way causes death to the soul

Godly wisdom and worldy wisdom are both calling out. In this verses it's worldy wisdom. It's up to us to chose life or death. Godly wisdom's destiny is life, worldy wisom's destiny is death. The choice is yours.
