I didn't dispute any of those things and I didn't call her wretched, but rather a poor wretched soul. The word wretched means a person in a very unhappy or unfortunate state and is not demeaning to your friend in any way but was an apt description of her current condition.
yeesh,

there you go again talking about some elses current condition as if you know them personally.

If you dont know how to be the person God formed you to be, the inner conflict will give room to things that have no place in a persons Spiritual Life.

You make the Choice Tourist.

I only know what you have described, if you wasn't looking for feedback then why post what you did? I already have made my choice and that is to move forward from this toxic thread.

Funny, I did not say anything about the blind helping the blind. However, now that you mention it, I am fairly certain there are many people who do not believe in God who help others in many ways, whether by profession or simply by sharing their experience, strength, and hope. Perhaps like many you are unaware that the 12 step program is centered on God: both developing and maintaining a PERSONAL relationship with Him. For many, it does not happen overnight, and those seeking help from the snares of addiction need a lot of support and encouragement, some of which comes from being inspired by listening to those who have been where they have been, and come out the other side with lives that exceed their greatest expectations for themselves.
As I stated before we are not wrestling against flesh and blood. Satan has been defeated through the Cross. Principalities and powers have been spoiled (Col. 2:15). We are enforcing this victory through applying the Cross to the sin(s), stronghold, sickness, or any problem and situation. Remember, we are seated in Heavenly Places in Christ Jesus, far above principalities and powers (Eph. 2:6). Demons recognize power and authority. They recognize Believers who operate in power and authority. The bible tells us give no place to the devil. We are not to be ignorant of the devil's tactics. The devil is a schemer. A scheme is a plan, design, or program of action (12 step programs you have mentioned). The bible talks about the wiles of the devil (Eph. 6:11). A wile is a trick or a trap. A trap is a snare. We do not engage the enemy with 12 step programs or any other "new carts" that has a form of godliness devised by man. We combine the power of the Holy Spirit ("The Full Armour Of God") with the authority of the name of Jesus to rout the enemy. It is only through Faith placed and maintained exclusively in Christ and the Finished Work at Calvary's Cross where the victory was won the Believer receives Grace.

The only speaking that I did regarding your friend is the prayer I said for her and that conversation with God will remain private. I usually apologize once a month to a member, I did that last night and I met my quota for the month.

I'm not sure what that means but I will take that as a compliment. Perhaps it means that I have a friend in Jesus. Yes, this is quite true.

Figuratively speaking these people dug their own pit and have fallen into it. In yielding to the temptation of opiates for their own sake, they are following other gods.
Very true. All addictions -- whether drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, gambling, pornography, video games, excessive TV watching, etc -- are works of "the flesh". Furthermore, drugs are connected with sorcery and witchcraft in the Bible, and there is no questions that they are demonic tools to destroy human beings and ultimately send them to Hell. Also, drug-induced crimes such as mugging, raping, and murder are a part of the horror of drugs.

So once again, the solution is repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation and deliverance from every addiction.

If the Believers faith is placed in anything else except Christ and the Cross, i.e., The Finished Work, i.e., The Blood of Jesus, the bible calls it witchcraft and double-mindedness (Gal. 5:20, James 1:8; 4:8, Rev. 18:23).

Many coming to the recovery rooms are not believers, so telling them to put on the full armour of God is rather pointless, as it makes no sense to them. They need to start where they are. Even if they reject being in rebellion against God at first, they see the value in being honest, and willing to do what it takes to stay clean, while they assess the role they played in the wreckage of their lives. Some come to a Biblical faith in Jesus Christ. Others tragically die in their disease. It is that tragedy that those who frequent the rooms are hoping to circumvent.

Jesus spent a considerable amount of time ministering to the oppressed. Multitudes came to hear Him in order to be healed and delivered from evil spirits. The scripture says, "And because of their unbelief, He couldn't do any miracles among them except to place His hands on a few sick people and heal them (Mark 6:5)." Another scripture says that He healed ALL!

Deliverance is the children's bread. Every child of God has a right to enjoy the benefits of deliverance. There are many great warriors being trained in the school of the Holy Spirit.

Unbelievers are not believers, though. Presenting Biblical principles to people struggling with addiction issues is not a snare of the devil. God is plainly stated as the solution to their problems. It is true that the original 12 step program that was developed by Dr. Bob and Bill W., following a similar plan of action created by evangelical Christians called the Oxford Group, has been modified many times, hundreds of times over, to reflect the nature of the issue as people understand their problem. Overeating a problem? Overeaters Anonymous. Unhealthy relationships a problem? Co-Dependants Anonymous. Drugs a problem? Narcotics Anonymous. Over-spending a problem? Debtors Anonymous. Gambling a problem? Gamblers Anonymous. However, God is always presented as the solution... except in extremely rare cases, such as "rational recovery" for hard core atheists, who remove God from the solution.

This threads topic is Drug" addiction.
And is a chemical dependence that is clearly recognizable by the medical community.

Programs that abuse state and federal funding to take advantage of people's addiction to drugs(list provided) for monetary gain.

They know who they are.

Have no right to the Kings Table.

People who have drug addictions need isolation(shelter)from the very
environment that is providing them with the means to self destruct.

And instead of these people who are given funding to enable further destruction.
A solution needs to be met.
And i imagine the solution will come from those who have recovered.
Not some think tank of people who have never experience the issue.

The only solution for sin, the only answer for sin, is the Cross of Christ!

The only solution for sin, the only answer for sin, is the Cross of Christ!
If the sin nature is not properly understood, and thereby properly controlled, then “works of the flesh” are going to manifest themselves in one’s life. It does not matter who that person is, whether he is the Pastor of the largest Church in the world, or whether he is the Evangelist who draws the biggest crowds. If such a person doesn’t understand the Cross as it regards Sanctification, works of the flesh will definitely manifest themselves in some way in such a person’s life and living. It is inevitable!

Works of the flesh

Paul tells us this in the 5th Chapter of Galatians. The entire Book of Galatians, but especially the 5th Chapter, is a warning from Paul to the Church at Galatia, which is also meant for us. The warning is that if they place their faith in anything except “Christ and Him Crucified,” that “Christ shall profit you nothing” (Gal. 5:2).

The Apostle goes on to say that if the Believer doesn’t adhere to the Way of the Spirit, which is the Way of the Cross, then works of the flesh will manifest themselves. He said:

“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God”
(Gal. 5:19-21).

Now let me say it again, because it is so very important:
If the Believer doesn’t understand the Cross of Christ, as it regards Sanctification, then, in some way, one or more of these “works of the flesh” are going to manifest themselves in his life. As stated, such is inevitable! The first four, “Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, and lasciviousness,” are obvious and easily understood. But the modern Christian quickly dismisses “idolatry, witchcraft, and heresies,” thinking they do not really apply today.

Let us address that:
First of all, any suggested way of victory other than the Cross of Christ, such as the “Purpose Driven Life,” the “Government of Twelve,” the “Word of Faith,” or “Denominationalism,” etc., constitutes idolatry. In effect, it is the same as Old Testament times, when Israel would begin to worship idols instead of Jehovah. To be sure, Israel actually referred to these idols as Jehovah; but the Lord definitely did not look at it in the same manner! And neither does He look any differently at modern idolatry!
Furthermore, all of this constitutes “heresies,” in which the modern Church abounds.

Let me say it more clearly:
Any doctrine, way, scheme, or direction made up by men, which means it is devised by men and not by God, is constituted by the Lord as “heresy,” which is a “work of the flesh.” Let me say it again, and because it is so very, very important! Any way other than “Christ and Him Crucified” is, in the eyes of God, “heresy.” Once one begins to understand these “works of the flesh,” these things become more obvious.

It was the works of the flesh that prompt God to send Jesus to turn us away from what we are from birth. We all are born walking after the flesh because we all are the seed of Adam. From walking in the spirit to walking in the flesh, he became.
