In a different thread a user told me the following. There are tow saved Christians A and B.Christian A works feeding the hungry, giving drink to the thirsty, and clothing the naked. Christian B does no work. Both Christians die and both go to heaven. The difference is that Christian A will receive greater rewards than Christian B. Do you agree?
What about Mt 25:31-46 where it seems those who do not work go to hell

We are saved through faith in Jesus Christ and His shed blood and the sacrifice of Himself alone. We are to do good works and we will give an account of our lives at the judgment seat of Christ.

Did you receive the Holy Spirit by any good things you did or did you receive Him by the kindness of God through trust and even that trust not of yourself so no man can boast?

That's the first question.

I do not think that Matthew 25, Sheep and goats, says those who don't work go to hell. It's about showing mercy in the same way you received mercy.

In the parable of the workers at the vineyard, those who worked little received the same reward as those who worked much. This is about salvation.

Paul also tells us, in Romans 4, that God ascribes righteousness to those who believe, but do no works at all.

Salvation is not by works, but by belief. Salvation produces works, because the one who saves you is the same one who works in you both to will and to do His good pleasure - but you are not saved by works and your salvation is not maintained by it: Christ Jesus did the work that saves, and began His work in me, and will complete it. Not by might or power, but by His Spirit: the just live by faith

Matt 21

28But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first, and said, 'Son, go work today in the vineyard.' 29He answered, 'I will not,' but afterward he changed his mind, and went. 30And he came to the other, and said the same thing. And he answered and said, 'I go, sir,' but he did not go. 31Which of the two did the will of his father?" They said, "The first." Jesus said to them, "Truly I tell you that the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering into the Kingdom of God before you.

Jesus said: you will know my people by their fruits. Anyone can claim salvation, but does you life show it? People say you do things for God trying to earn your salvation. I just let them spew. I do things for God because I delight in Him as I hope, He delights in me.

I think that is what David was like. He did little things for God and came to know Him better. The little things are all we got. David knew God was powerful when he went up against Goliath. The other Israelis did not realize the battle belonged to the Lord. He saw the disrespect Goliath paid to God. Just saying, we can't earn our salvation but we can show our gratefulness.

This is what happens when you endeavor to force the scripture to support a premise that is completely separate from what the scripture teaches.

Whether one works a little or a lot the one is responsible only to the One who commissioned them. It is not for you to expect more or less than what you have been promised.

Matt 25:31-46
31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
KJV

As I see it, there are people in the churches who think they are saved and are not. They are NOT Christians!

Those who are truly saved Will show Jesus' compassion to others.

Walking into a church does NOT make a person a Christian any more than walking into a garage makes them a car.

Depends on the spirit the work was done in.

Christian A may receive nothing if love wasn't the motivation. Lots of people do religious works because they think they are earning salvation or points. If it's not done through love it doesn't mean anything. Dead work.

Christian B might receive a lot because the works were done in love in private.

Did you receive the Holy Spirit by any good things you did or did you receive Him by the kindness of God through trust and even that trust not of yourself so no man can boast?

That's the first question.
The answer is agreed upon by all in here. You received Him by Gods kindness through trust.

Second question: if to have anger in my heart at you is to have already murdered you, and if to even have thoughts is to have already committed adultery, how many poor people would I have to feed to cancel out my murder and adultery?
