I done some research and was surprised to find that there are seven types of creationism. That should mean that there's a big difference in what people believe. I'm really interested in what these differences are and how people would answer 4 questions.
1. WHEN was Adam created?
2. WHEN was the earth created?
3. DID dinosaurs really exist?
4. Did dinosaurs and man exist at the same time?
I would really appreciate it if people would show me the differences in their beliefs

Dinosaurs were created at the beginning but were allowed to become extinct through the Flood.

Now that's a tough one. I'm very sorry to hear that. My heart goes out to you.

But why just a distraction? Why not, at least, seek something of value? Learn something new and useful? Give meaning to this next phase of your life?

If you figure this one out, (and you won't), what changes? How does it help you or anyone around you?

I have lost much in life, and every time I have, I seek real purpose to go on. A distraction is nothing more than wiling away the hours in useless pursuit. All that would do is keep reminding me where I am. And, considering what I've lost, there is much less to where I am than there used to be. So, I'd rather reach out to people, or learn something useful, to contribute instead of wasting space. I do get it is tough. But if the Lord's idea was for us to quit living, he would have taken us home already.

1- Day 6, same day as animals.
2- During the first week, less than 15,000 years ago.
3- Dinosaur bones really exist.
4- Who knows? God did say that He put a delusion in the earth- that whoever would believe the lie instead of believe God would be accursed. Could dinosaurs be the delusion? Man does say they existed billions of years before humans, and God says He created all in a week. Who are you going to believe? The Bible says “let every man be a liar and God be right.” God is capable of only putting the bones in the earth, if He can make a body He can make just the bones, with oil around it. Or they could have gone extinct like other animals. God didn’t say when He put the delusion in the earth. One thing I know for certain, God made both animals and Adam on the same day, then He rested. What is interesting though is when did God make Eve? Was it on the same day as Adam, or was it later? (Hmmm)

I love the study of science which finds all the clues about a young earth creation. In fact, when I was taking science when I went back to college, including biology and geology, I heard a lot of circular reasoning to prove Evolution! So much, that I became a young earth creationist!

The catch? I was not saved! I believed someone created the earth, but I didn’t know his name. I even started reading the Bible, a book I did not understand! At the end of the year, my future husband shared the gospel with me, and God saved me! Then I realized who the Creator of the earth was! It was Jesus! But Colossians says it so much better!

”15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation,

16 for all things in heaven and on earth were created in him—all things, whether visible or invisible, whether thrones or dominions, whether principalities or powers—all things were created through him and for him.

17 He himself is before all things and all things are held together in him. He is the head of the body, the church, as well as the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that he himself may become first in all things.

19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in the Son

20 and through him to reconcile all things to himself by making peace through the blood of his cross—through him, whether things on earth or things in heaven.” Col 1:15-20

Earth being billions of years old is something I took as fact until a friend asked me to do some research for him. It seems many scientific "facts" are not facts at all. How old is earth? Older than me and younger than God.:)

I had to memorize how old the earth was for a test in grade school. Then I had to memorize how old it was when I was in college. The number changed!

And it's changed a couple more times since then. :eek:

And this is why I stopped believing "the facts."

Yes! Science keeps changing (flat earth/round earth) while all the time there have ALWAYS been the verses that never change saying it is round!

About all we can acurately measure is around 4-5000 years. Oh, they will holler at you but that is it..They, NASA, Government, etc have been lying to us for years.......Case in point.....How do we know what is in the center of the earth. Our ground radar will only go a few hundred feet if that much. The deepest hole ever dug is around 8 miles down by Russia and at that point they could not go any further...Bits started melting, etc..... For a ball with a 25,000 mile diameter, we certainly have not gotten very far knowing exactly what is below the Earth;s Mantle.....(the first layer they tell me....of course it could be a lie as well...lol)


If I were you, I would believe the WORD of GOD (the Bible KJV) as absolutely correct.............Are you going to base your salvation on something you feel is in err????????? around 6,000 years.....The Hebrew year is 5778 and that is when they started counting...Of course by using that figure, we can go back (through geneological listings) and get the ages of man. I would say around six thousand years..

One other point...... In the Bible, we find that the #7 is uncountable. It very definition means Completion. We still have a millennium to go through which would bring us to a difference of 5778 +1000= 6778 .....we are off a paltry 225 years from the magical 7,000 completion years. Are there a few years we missed. We know that Daniel's 70th week will be 7 years. + 75 days. How much time will be needed in the GAP between the Rapture and Daniel's 70th week, we don't know. How much time will be needed for GOD the Father to complete the White Throne Judgement....Just a thought.

All in all I would bet that GOD will be on time. Either way, we are real close and time is stealing away..I do believe I would be ready.

Consider the father of evolution-Darwin. He was supposedly a Christian until his daughter Ann died, then he turned from believing in creation to rabidly promoting evolution. There is no fossil record to support the theory, and the timeframe used was made up by a friend of Darwin to allow him to reconcile the inconsistencies in his theory.

There was a canopy of water between the earth and the heavens Genesis 1:6-7 that caused a green house effect, this also caused the vegetation to have complete proteins like meat does. The firmament “Then God said, “Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.”7 Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so.”

So after the flood the Lord told Noah to eat of all the moving things on the earth for food like He gave the green herbs and not to eat the blood or life in the animal,

Genesis 9:2-5 “And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be on every beast of the earth, on every bird of the air, on all that move on the earth, and on all the fish of the sea. They are given into your hand.3 Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs.4 But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.5 Surely for your lifeblood I will demand a reckoning; from the hand of every beast I will require it, and from the hand of man. From the hand of every man’s brother I will require the life of man.”

Without the complete protiens in the green herbs the dinosaurs could not exsist. If you look at the root structure of the T-Rex you will see that they were not meat eaters, they were herbivors thier root system on their teeth could not have taken the ripping of flesh at all. They would of been pulled out of their gums, that alone would of caused them to become extinct by that alone if they were meat eaters as the so-called scientists say they were meat eaters. I do not understand why they are so set on making T-Rex a meat eater when the root structure will not take that type of ripping and tearing of flesh, if would not be long before they were gummers :D

Actually, Darwin is blamed for "promoting evolution," and yet he just had a new theory he was mulling around with. At the time, he was scoffed. Meanwhile, I'm still stuck wondering the same thing he was wondering about. How is it that there are different species of turtles on five different Galapagos islands? Why is it that the only marine iguanas are found on just those islands? What did God do there?

Darwin did assume it had something to do with God.

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." (Gen 1.1). In this time, only it there was angels and dinosaurs. After the rebellion of Ha-Satan and his angels, the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep (Gen 1.2). Therefore, all dinosaurs were dead.
Then the Eternal One decided to recreate the earth and Adam was created at the sixth day.

I originally thought that most Christians would fall in the Old Earth Creationist belief, but after reading the replies it seems like most Christians are Young Earth Creationist. Would I be correct in assuming this???

Well....no one can date it precisely....We know Adam was created on day six of creation, the earth on day one according to Genesis....two lines of thought.....

a. The earth is a little over 6000 years old
b. The earth is much older and was renovated in GENESIS after Satan fell from heaven wrecking the material creation that he was over until he decided to ASCEND and usurp the throne of GOD.
c. Yes, dinosaurs did exist...the evidence is world wide and speaks to the proof that they existed
d. Yes, dinosaurs were on the planet at the same time with man....I also believe that they perished in the flood, but also believe they walk among us today* yet hindered in the size of their growth by the atmospheric conditions, lower oxygen rates and seasons....*snakes, crocks, alligators, lizards etc. and possibly ocean dwelling creatures that we have not discovered as of yet.

I don't know how old the Earth is or when and why Dinosaurs came and went with any certainty. What I do know is that humanity is in a mess and God provided a way for us to get out of it. The Bible is a Spiritual book that deals with Spiritual matters.
