I am not planning on getting into this. But was simply curious how people answer.

So basically God has to judge who will be saved and who will not be. Satan and his angels got cast out of Heaven for sin.

Adam and Eve God cast out of Eden for sin.

All of us have sinned.

So how is God going to let some in and others not in?

I hope there will be a little thought go into this as it requires such. Jesus did die for sins. But not everyone who says Lord Lord etc, is going.

Belief in Jesus is also not a great answer as it means different things to different people. SO if you can unpack what belief in Jesus means practically for the christian.

Blessings.

Having a true, genuine desire to do your best to follow God and His commands, accepting His truths and setting Him sincerely above anything else.
I'm sure many will get into long posts of a list of rules. I kept my simple. As it should be. From these three you can branch out into what that means for each individual.

Not a Christian at death - eternal condemnation.
A Christian - no eternal condemnation, judgement then positive according to works.

Difference between eternal condemnation and no eternal condemnation - the blood of Jesus Christ. Nil else.
We are saved by grace through faith as per Eph 2:8-10.
The works mentioned in Eph 2:10 cannot alter whether one is condemned or not, just how positive the judgement is as a Christian!

Perfect justice!

We are saved by grace through faith. He will save us out of His mercy, which He extended to us through the sacrifice of His Son, who paid the penalty for our sins. In doing so He has reconciled us to Himself, eliminating the barrier that was between us (our sin). We are washed in the blood of Christ, our sins as white as snow. Therefore, we may have fellowship with God with no hindrance (because there is no condemnation for those that are in Christ, Jesus).

God can judge and remain just because He is righteous, and His judgments just. Though we deserve death He has granted us life, through Christ. His mercy does not negate His justice, for the price was paid through the shed blood of Jesus. We have been redeemed, bought with a price. Our penalty paid, and we, reconciled to God.

Which is better smelling -- rotten Limburger cheese or frightened skunk freshly killed by a car?

Go ahead. Judge. Which is better?

Because that's about where my mind goes when you say "God has to judge who will be saved and who will not be."

He already gave the criteria for being judged justly. "Be ye therefore perfect even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."

Rotten Limburger cheese or fresh-kill skunk? Doesn't matter because we all stink! Righteous judgement is separation from God, death and hell. That is his just punishment, and it either was carried out in Jesus, or will be carried out by us, therefore his judgement is already just.

Which leaves the other word -- "Choice." God chooses some, not God judges some.

How did he do that? Mercifully, lovingly, and righteously. All adverbs describing the Lord, not us.

I wonder if I could get my heart around the fact that God ACTUALLY wants us to be with Him more than we could ever want too.

God chose all, but not all chose Him. They rejected Him. Who has Christ died for? He is the propitiation (appeasement) for the sins of the world, as scripture says, "not ours only." Salvation is available to all, through repentance. A process that God initiates, through His drawing.

Ironically God has placed the onus on us. His Word says to draw near to Him and He shall draw near to us. The ball is in our court, as the throne room is open. We may enter freely, without condemnation.

This shouldn’t be difficult. It is based on who you follow. Three choices, if you follow the Father then you have to accept His Son as Lord. As a part of the Church/saint/believer/adopted child we are sheep who belong to The Shepherd, saved. He leads we follow. Even if we screw up we are still His. If we follow our own desires, the we are our shepherd. Since we are incapable to save ourselves we will be lost eternally, weeping and gnashing of teeth, eternal darkness. If we choose to follow another god, or Lucifer (and there are those who follow Lucifer) then we will follow them all the way to the pit of Hell. These are them who get cast into the fire for eternity. It’s a greater punishment because they know of the spirit world but line themselves in opposition of the Almighty.

It's personal faith placed in: A sinless Christ's, redemptive atoning sacrifice. Found in his: death (sins required wage, Paid in Full) & resurrection (God's receipt, Payment received & accepted).

It's through Christ's sinless righteous faithfulness unto death. And our faith placed in his finished redemptive work. Whereby, God grants a full sin pardon to whosoever believes in Christ's payment

Eph 2:8 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
(NOTE: God's gift of grace = Jesus Christ, Jn 3:16)

Rom 5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
(NOTE: We access God's grace, by our faith/trust placed in Christ's faithful redemptive sin atoning sacrifice

Justice does not mean letting the guilty go free or the innocent be unjustly punished. In relation to sin, there is none righteous, no not one. So the short answer is that the guilt and the punishment for the human race (not evil angels) was all placed on one sinless Man -- the Lord Jesus Christ. However, that would not mean that everyone was automatically forgiven. Grace demands that those who are justified (declared righteous) must believe on God and on the Lord Jesus Christ, and turn from their sins and idols, making Him their Lord and Savior.

"Difficult is the way that many will be eliminated" that leads to eternal hellfire. Why? Remember the gate is Jesus (John 10:1).

Man can come before God only on one premise, and that is by and through the shed Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
When Jesus said, “No man cometh to the Father but by Me,” He was speaking of what He would do at the Cross of Calvary, which would make all of this possible (John 14:6).

Is the worker of iniquity saved (Matthew 7:21-23)? Why does a worker of iniquity come under judgement (Matthew 7:21-23)?

Matthew 7:21-23 King James Version (KJV)

[SUP]21 [/SUP]Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in Heaven.
[SUP]
22 [/SUP]Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy Name? and in thy Name have cast out devils? and in thy Name done many wonderful works?

[SUP]
23 [/SUP]
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.

It must only be Faith placed and maintained exclusively in Christ and the Cross of Calvary where the victory was won, i.e., The Finished Work, i.e., The Blood of Jesus, or
you cannot be His Disciple (this refers to a denial of dependence on self, and total trust being placed in Christ and what He has done for us at the Cross).

The criteria alone is Christ and Him Crucified (1 Cor. 1:23). We have access to God only through Christ, and access to Christ only through the Cross, and access to the Cross only through a denial of self (Lk.9:23); any other Message is judged by God as "iniquity," and cannot be a part of Christ (1 Cor. 1:17).

Important: What is the will of the Father? See verse 23!

God can judge because He is Just, He is Righteous and Holy.

None of us deserve to be saved because of our superior intellect, superior choosing skills, or "righteous" behavior.

If we weren't chosen we would not be saved.

Now the question "Why did God choose to save us?" I don't really have any idea. He seems to have a soft spot for the underdog and "lost" cause...

But then you have to wonder, did He make you an underdog and a lost cause just to have mercy on you?

Did He make you exceedingly dumb so that when He showed you His Wisdom you would know not to rely on your own understanding afterward?

Did He make you weak so that when you see His Power you would know to rely on Him and not yourself?

God chooses the dumb and weak. Kind of doesn't seem fair to the wise and strong... Luckily no one is really as wise or as strong as they think they are.

How can God be just and not judge?

Gods righteousness and holiness demands that God judge all that is sin and transgression. No evil can stand in His sight. No darkness is ever found in His presence.

GOD's commandment is eternal life. Those who reject Christ's words (commandments) bar themselves from entry into life.

I will raise up to them a prophet of their brethren, like thee [Moses]; and I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them as I shall command him. And whatever man shall not hearken to whatsoever words that prophet shall speak in my name, I will take vengeance on him. Deuteronomy 18:18-19

And if anyone hears my words and does not observe [them], I will not judge him. For I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world. The one who rejects me and does not accept my words has one who judges him; the word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day. For I have not spoken from myself, but the Father himself who sent me has commanded me what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is eternal life. So [the things] that I say, just as the Father said to me, thus I say.” John 12:47-50

As the dew of Hermon, [and as the dew] that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, life for evermore. Psalms 133:3

Universalism is a lie.

And, in your scenario you're saying either God saves everyone or we save ourselves.

And cutting down propitiation to merely "appeasement", (which it is, but so much more than that when we talk about God), is a grand way to make it about people earning their own salvation.

Here's a good article on propitiation.

Huh?

As in, want to prove that one biblically?

Ah man! I thought I got dumb and weak all from just being me.
