Psalm 119 ".... Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
10With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
11Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
12Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.
13With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.
14I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.
15I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.
16I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.....
Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live, and keep thy word.

42So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word.
43And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments.....
I would encourage you to read the entirety of this psalm, its all sort of this same concept. all speaking asking for God to Make Known His ways , to strengthen the heart and Mind, to make me to walk in your ways, Make me to respect your ways, teach Me thy word...later as you may Know it is " thy word is My Light , it lights My paths and directs My steps. things Like that. truthfully the Psalmist Had a grasp of the Spirit of truth that is In Gods Word. through His Word He strengthens the seeker, the One who truly ants to Know Him, to Know His Ways, His instructions. to really get to Know Who He is and what He sees as Good and evil, and abide By His judgements Because they are perfect Peace and freedom from the grasp of evil.
The One thing satan will always work to accomplish, is to Get a Believer, to Not believe Gods Word. He Knows it is the ultimate truth, and If a Person Knows it and Believes it......they will do it because it is the Word of God, it cannot fail to Be true, if He says it, its a done deal. the Only weapon satan Has ever Had against Man is to any way He can, by whatever Logic, whatever " better sounding path" whatever "other truth" ......to Get Man to disbelieve what God, Has Said to Man. its How He got adam and eve and its How He still gets People today, nly Now there are 2000 plus religions in the world, every humanist has " thier own truth to teach" philosophers and scientists all Have thier words out thier to believe are the answer.
But in the Middle of the Holy Bible there are 4 small Books that Hold Gods Truth.....The Way, the Truth and the Life. Consier the Importance of what God, said thriugh Jesus Christ, The One and Only.
Hebrews 13:8 " Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. "
Matthew 24:35 " Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."
1 peter 1 " Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: 23Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.........25But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you."
