You’re right.

Solomon taught us that wisdom isn’t enough to save us. We need Jesus.
We need the mind of Christ.
And if we lack wisdom we ask God for it in Jesus name.

I think that Satan is the wisest among beasts of the field.

But Jesus Christ, the promised man, fulfilled the promise of God, that the enmity God put between the serpent’s seed and her seed would end with Jesus crushing the head of the Devil.

The head realm is the mind, wherein philosophies and inventions, and notions of man and angel arise against the word of God.
God chose what the worldly wise think foolish, not to confuse them but to confound them.
For if they are so smart them puzzle It out.

How did Samson slay a thousand men with the jawbone of an ass?

Or, How di

In thatparable the thousand could be a literal or as it used throughout scripture itcould identify an unknown. The jaw bone of an Ass a unclean animal used toindicate an unbeliever, it is used just as it was with Balaam's’ Ass… the voiceof God, used to restrain the madness offalse prophets . As in all cases the actual work is not accredited the prophet butto Christ’s Spirit of faith.
God is not served by humanhands.

The narrative is historical.

Samson slew a thousand men with the jawbone of an ass.

Judges 15:11 Then three thousand men of Judah went to the top of the rock Etam, and said to Samson, Knowest thou not that the Philistines are rulers over us? what is this that thou hast done unto us? And he said unto them, As they did unto me, so have I done unto them.
12 And they said unto him, We are come down to bind thee, that we may deliver thee into the hand of the Philistines. And Samson said unto them, Swear unto me, that ye will not fall upon me yourselves.
13 And they spake unto him, saying, No; but we will bind thee fast, and deliver thee into their hand: but surely we will not kill thee. And they bound him with two new cords, and brought him up from the rock.
14 And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands.
15 And he found a new jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and slew a thousand men therewith.
16 And Samson said, With the jawbone of an ass, heaps upon heaps, with the jaw of an ass have I slain a thousand men.

It was the Lord using the wise Samson that slew a thousand men.

And with Samson and the jawbone, the Lord mocked the strength of the Philistines.

A jester is wiser and stronger than the king of the Philistines and all his army.

the Lord said to Solomon,

I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be.
(1 Kings 3:12)

we may have been granted a certain knowledge that Solomon did not have, a thing hidden since the beginning - though does not have it now? - the mystery of Christ come in the flesh, the revealing of God's salvation. ((re: Proverbs 30:4, John ch. 3))

but knowledge is not the same as wisdom, and knowing one thing someone else doesn't know doesn't make you more knowledgeable. maybe we know {x} and they know {t, u, v, w, y, z} -- what's the measure?

For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.
(Romans 12:3)

Of course a person that is born again would have greater wisdom than Solomon, for he had wisdom according to the physical realm, and how to deal with the people, and lead them, which is what he asked for, wisdom in common sense, and logical reasoning, for the good of the people, and because he asked for that and not according to a selfish agenda God also made him the wisest king, and gave him great wealth.

But Solomon went astray with marrying women, and having concubines, and they led him astray with their gods somewhat, and enjoyed the fleshy pleasures, and things of the world, but he got back on track and realized it was all in vain, which he said vanity for all is vainity that is done under the sun if it is done in a selfish manner, and said this is the whole duty of man to obey the commandments of God,for He shall judge every person according to what they do,and you want to be found on the side of doing good and His will.

But a person that is born again being led by the Spirit has wisdom in the physical realm in common sense, and logical reasoning, all for their good, and the good of the people, and also understand the kingdom of God and His goodness, and the mysteries of the spiritual realm, and can be led of the Spirit to be able to abstain from sin,and fleshy pleasures,if they hate sin, and do not want sin.

We can have the same Spirit that Jesus was conceived by,and was led by during His time on earth,so we have the same power as Jesus to be able to overcome the flesh and be like Him,for we put on Christ, and we have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts, and show the ways of the Spirit.

Mat 12:42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

Jesus said He is greater than Solomon in wisdom, and if the saints can have the same Spirit as Jesus than they would have more wisdom than Solomon.

They could not have the Spirit in the Old Testament like we can have the Spirit in the New Testament,so of course we would have more wisdom than Solomon if we are born again.

Jas 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
Jas 1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
Jas 1:7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

No wisdom of the Spirit is withheld from those who ask in faith and do the will of God,but in the Old Testament there would of had to be some wisdom withheld from them for they could not see the kingdom of God as clear as we can see it.

Those that have been born again by the Spirit can have all the wisdom of Solomon and more than that.

Unless the Scripture is wrong, in fact unless G-d lied, and I doubt.... Solomon. 1 Kings 3:12.

Wisdom in this case proves the Scripture true: We all fall short of the glory of G-d, no man is without sin.... Even as Christian we will sin we, but with G-d's wisdom (the Holy Spirit) we will sin less......

A born again Christian who is faithful until death.

Knowledge is an accumulation of facts, wisdom is using these facts in the best way to obtain the best result. He certainly had his good moments, like finding the true mother of the baby, but he was not wise to disobey God. We all do that to some degree, but I have never cheated on God with false gods. There is nothing or no one more important to me than Him.

Christ is far wiser than Solomon. And the bible says we have the mind of Christ. Through His Word and through our conscience led by the Holy Spirit, we are far wiser than Solomon.

i may have dozens of reference books on my shelves at home but that doesn't mean i have or am full of their knowledge. it means i have access to it.

if it's Christ who lives in me and has wisdom, it would be Christ, not me, who is wise: as He proves to me daily! :p
