How many Books are the infallible, inerrant Word of G-d? There are 66 of them that make up the Bible. How many do you believe are G-d breathed? Talken' creation 6 days Genesis all the way to Revelation and if you alter one word.... all the plagues in the Book will be cast upon you.....

Is all Scripture the word of G-d? If not what parts should I believe? If not how do you choose what is? If parts are dead, I think some might say; did G-d die? Or is His Word not Him, alive, so it died but He did not?

I ask these questions because I want to understand how people think.... I honestly don't get anyone not believing the all 66 Books are alive, sharper than a two edged sword dividing the soul and marrow.....

Why just 66? Why not less? Why not more?

Also, which version of those books? Their original form? Later additions? Everything anybody ever made to them? Or something else...?

What I hold in my hands is the pure, holy preserved words of God without error. It is a faithful witness.

Proverbs 14:5 A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.

i'll get there for you- the 1611 version is the only true, trusting Word of God ( not so, but that is what your cult thinks ), that is what you think, go on and say it.

It hasn't been proven to be false yet, as the new versions. The new versions are not a faithful witness. They all hail from Egypt and the Vatican.

If one believes the Bible is true, they are called a cult member even within the body of Christ.

one of the main definitions of a cult is no free thought allowed . when a group insists on using a Bible written in middle English is the only way to read God's word is cult thinking.

I have nothing against king james ( other than gay rumors ), I just prefer to read modern English. your group tells me I am wrong for doing so. your group is a cult.

I do actually find my bible to be 100% accurate and true in every sense...

:)

no desire to dig any deeper or further convince myself

i started off as a non-believer and skeptical

God has long since assured me the bible is His inspired written word

and my bible is as legit as any bible could be

Proverbs 14:5 A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.

Does your Bible contain any lies? If so, it is not a faithful witness. Look up 2 Samuel 21:19 to see if your Bible lies.

when i say dig any deeper
i mean more than the books in the bible

or put any more work into "proving" the bible is true

since i already have complete confidence

i didnt mean not digging deeper in my bible

lol i plan to continue doing that for the rest of my life

i read a KJV

but i know brothers and sisters in Christ who God has revealed the truth to through many translations

i also know people who read the KJV in MASSIVE error

i dont get this kjvo group

when so many people who read other translations have heard Gods call

been blessed with wisdom

and became born again

and how many people read the KJV

and still end up pushing a false gospel...

also

to think God would only preserve His word in one language?

ehhhhhh

doubt it

in order to prove KJVO

you need to take every single other translation

and prove it contains lies

(not just semantics based on presentstion that makes the truth less obvious to you... but it can still be seen by others)
I do not wish to get into k j v lies, other than that I agree with you.

bump.

My Bible can't lie for it doesn't speak God's word however speaks to me and through me on occasion for he is alive.

Jesus told the scribes and pharisees that, have ye not read the scriptures about me? Jesus knew the scriptures and books were real, and he told them that they were. He always went back to the scriptures of the OT concerning his coming.

P.S. While it is hard to get your hands on a copy, just remember what is written in Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Proverbs 14:5 A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.

NASB 2 Samuel 21:19 There was war with the Philistines again at Gob, and Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim the Bethlehemite killed Goliath the Gittite, the shaft of whose spear was like a weaver's beam.

Did Elhanan kill Goliath or is the NASB lying? I thought David killed Goliath. The NASB parallel passage says Elhanan killed the brother of Goliath, therefore, the NASB contradicts itself and cannot be trusted.

NASB 1 Chronicles 20:5 And there was war with the Philistines again, and Elhanan the son of Jair killed Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the shaft of whose spear was like a weaver's beam.
