A loss to the body of Christ on earth, he was a good teacher. I hope now he is "seeing face to face"

Chuck Missler was one of the "many" false teachers that the Lord spoke of. He preached numerous false doctrines and like all false teachers, mixed truth with error.

Unfortunately, heresy hunters among us think it's their job to tag every man of God who doesn't agree with them on every detail as "false teachers"

I didn't agree with him on everything but Chuck Missler was a sound teacher. I noted that he always prayed before a session and asked The Lord to guide both himself and the people listening. I particularly liked that many times he asked those listening NOT to believe him simply on his say-so but to challenge his teachings and search out the scriptures for ourselves.

The man inspired detailed Bible study.

I did not go to his "heretic hunter" website. He is also trolling the comments section of the news article, and others have noted his site states they do not believe in the Trinity! Talk about heretics!

Also, anyone who cannot wait even a day to tear down a man who has just died displays HIS utter lack of love, etiquette, and compassion.

Instead of a cut-and-paste smear post (your very FIRST post, at that ) why don't you start a thread, so as not to de-rail this one, and explain in detail (with scriptural references) all the "numerous" false doctrines that you, personally, have an issue with...

That would be much more effective in spreading the truth..... if that truly is what you are after.

We'll wait....

I went to the website. They pretty much label every preacher from the past until now as a false teacher. Everyone from Martin Luther to Charles Stanley.

They, in turn, state things like:

"God had created evil as a necessary experience for man’s spiritual education and perfection."

"God will bring all men into harmony with Himself, each person in his or her own order, throughout the ages to come, giving each a relationship with Him by faith."

"Jesus Christ learned perfect obedience to God in the days of His flesh..."

"God created him (Satan) as an adversary to the saints, an agent assisting in the winnowing and processing of mankind."

"The Sabbath (Fourth Commandment), which God sanctified and made for man as the day of rest, is the seventh day, beginning Friday evening and ending Saturday evening. It is God’s gift to mankind, and every bit as relevant today as the other nine Commandments."

"The Trinity is a man-made concoction, an “explanation” of the Person of God that is false, confounded and confusing."

You're quick to judge, Lucy, and you're judging by appearance - both, not good.

Aren't believers instructed by the Lord to shine the light in the darkness?

Matthew 5:14-15 MKJV
(14) You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
(15) Nor do men light a lamp and put it under the grain-measure, but on a lampstand. And it gives light to all who are in the house.

"For so the Lord has commanded us, saying, "I have set You to be a light of the nations, for salvation to the end of the earth" (Acts 13:47 MKJV).

And you accuse me of evil, self-serving motives. Do you know? By whose authority do you judge? And where is your evidence?

Do you think the Pharisees didn't pray? They prayed all the time. They fasted. They received the praises of men. They taught the Scriptures. Do you think a false teacher is going to come calling on devils?

And why do you condemn others who have simply NOT believed him (as you say Missler preached) and instead believed what the Scriptures say? What's gotten into you, Lucy?

PennEd, that's and evil accusation. The site that was posted is filled with over 1,000 pages of substantial instruction and teaching. You're comments here expose you. You bring no substance, and just nasty mob, leftist-like rhetoric. You speak of the "Trinity" yet it's nowhere in the Bible. It's a man made pagan 3-headed god that was incorporated into "Christendom" by the Catholic church.

Where in the Scriptures does it say a man must "believe in the Trinity" to be saved? Doesn't it say

"He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life" (1 John 5:12)?

"Everyone who denies the Son neither has the Father. The one confessing the Son also has the Father" (1 John 2:23)

Also, anyone who cannot wait even a day to tear down a man who has just died displays HIS utter lack of love, etiquette, and compassion.
You're wrong, PennEd, that this is a personal tearing down of a man. It's an opportunity to alert people to the truth.

And are you saying the Lord had a lack of love, etiquette, and compassion when approached by one that sought to follow Him, but first wanted to go bury his father, and was told by THE LORD to "let the dead bury the dead"? He was describing this man's family, those still living and dealing with the loss of a father, as "dead." Is that "etiquette"? We're dealing with reality here, PennEd, something that is obviously anathema to you. Chuck Missler was dead before he died.

To his credit he always put forth his view, opposing views, then told the viewer to be a Berean.

A loss for us all, but he has gone to be with Jesus so gain for him.

you are in major error

and not functioning as a member of the body of Christ when you make such ridiculous claims

1 John 5:7
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

Matthew 28:19 - Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost

2 Corinthians 13:14 - The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, [be] with you all. Amen. ([The second [epistle] to the Corinthians was written from Philippi, [a city] of Macedonia, by Titus and Lucas.])

1 Peter 1:2 - Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

John 14:26 - But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Genesis 1:26 - And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Colossians 2:9 - For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

John 15:26 - But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

ignore context all you want

but that isnt of God

you dont have to understand the Godhead to understand

the Holy spirit is God
Jesus is God
and the Father is God

and these THREE are one

you can add your false understanding to this till your blue in the face

doesnt make it true

now stop defiling this thread meant to pay respects to a BROTHER in Christ

and child of God

What could be better for a first post than a clear sound of a trumpet, alerting people to the truth, exposing one misled and didn't represent Jesus Christ? The link contains all that is needed, hornetguy.

Regarding Chuck's false doctrines, I'll provide just one for now, and it's a BIG one that essentially shows that what Chuck taught was merely orthodox doctrine passed down from men, namely from the Catholic Church and was the antithesis of the Good News.

From What Happens When You Die?: Your Ultimate Appointment: Chuck Missler - Koinonia House Chuck says:

"The very concept of the need for a Savior presupposes the avoidance of the otherwise certain destiny of desolation and eternal punishment. The good news is that you and I are the beneficiaries of a love letter: a letter written in blood on a wooden cross erected in Judea about two thousand years ago and which is the fulcrum of all history and the entire universe. The crucifixion was not a tragedy: it was a crowning achievement. His achievement makes it possible to avoid an otherwise certain destiny."

The response, in detail, with plenty of Scripture and godly reason:

The State and Fate of Hell - The Path of Truth
Diabolical Doctrine - Never-ending Torment - The Path of Truth
The Reconciliation of All Things - The Path of Truth
