There are rumors that this is the case.

And if you interpret Genesis 4:1 of the KJV literally, it confirms the rumors.

"And Adam knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD"

It does not say Adam begat Cain and it says I (Eve) have gotten a man from the LORD.

Pretty simply put isn't it?

I wonder what the folks on these boards might have to say...

that is a big stretch and out of context.
""And Adam knew his wife;"

cause and effect
cause= Adam knew his wife = sexual relations
effect = conceived =
pregnant with child

who was glorfied = God = "I have gotten a man from the LORD" = God was the one who gave man and women the ability to have children.

What that passage means is that she is happy the lord has given her a male child just like anyone thanks the lord what he provides.

The Lord gave Eve a son that was named Cain as the Lord gives everything that is good. The Lord is not the father, Adam was because he knew his wife and she concieved. That means they had sex. That's how babies are made in case that you didn't you know.

Most folks here would say that your hypothesis is lunacy.

Just wondering what people here think the LORD really is.
Do you not think the LORD is an individual person?
If the LORD is an individual person, and Adam impregnated Eve, then Eve got a son from Adam, not the LORD.

Cain and Abel was twins. At the time Adam laid with her(knew her) ,she bore Cain first, and then Abel followed behind him. It does not say Adam laid with her again and she concieved to have Abel. These two were born before the fall.

Do you not think that the Lord is God?
The same God that Genesis 1 and 2 shows is the creator God of the heavens and the earth???

The context is abundantly clear to me....

Eve got herself from God.

He is her Maker. He made her by hand.

first pregnancy in the history of time: no experienced, matronly woman to tell Eve what was happening to her. she and Adam more than anyone, ever, know that the LORD is the provider, sustainer and creator of all things.

i try to keep thi in mind when i try to understand what she meant, when she said she received something from God.

Adam and Eve had already been cast out of the garden before the births of Cain and Abel are noted. There is no reason to assume Cain and Abel were twins.

Genesis 1 and 2 do not seem to me as coming from the same context.

Can you clarify?

there's not any such thing, really, as "Genesis 1 and 2" -- that's a relatively recent and entirely human construct to make referencing the text easier.

it's all one book. so you're saying that you think the first two pages of this book don't seem to be coming from the same context. . . ?

can you clarify?

Chapter 1 is a greater context of creation.
Chapter 2 is a lesser context, like an interesting subset that is only a small part of what was already created.
