For your consideration i would like to present an idea up for thoughtful consideration and debate.

There is only one sin that leads to hell and the true death, and that is the sin of disbelief. Not believing in Christ is the only Sin that leads to the true death.

Let me add that you will also go to hell when you already know the Truth but intentionally sin repeatedly. It's in Hebrews Chapter 10.

In regards to Hebrews 10:26, To "sin willfully" in the Greek carries the idea of deliberate intention that is habitual, which stems from rejecting Christ deliberately. This is CONTINUOUS ACTION - A MATTER OF PRACTICE. Now we don't walk along our daily life and "accidentally" fall into a pit called sin. We exercise our will but, the use of the participle clearly shows a CONTINUOUS ACTION. The unrighteous practice sin - (1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Galatians 5:19-21); not the righteous, who are born of God - (1 Corinthians 6:11; 1 John 3:9).

Demons believe in Christ and will go to hell, so there are other sins that lead to condemnation.

Demons are already condemned, my friend.

Demons believe Jesus exists. They don't believe "in" Him.

That's belief without a promise. They were never promised salvation because Jesus didn't become an angel and die for their sins.

Demons do not have faith in god, thus they texhnically believe in god, when you believe in someone you trust them, if you do. Ot trust them, you may agree and believe who they are, but you do not believe in them at sll.

Thus if the righteous fall into the trap of ongoingly deliberately willfully sinning - then there might be a problem, yes??

What about the sin of blaspheming the Holy Spirit? This is surely unbelief also, but I would see it as a separate sin from "not believing in Christ".

The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord...

All sin leads or will land you in hell.

true, except jesus paid the penalty for those sins, thus as jesus said, all sin will be forgiven men.

Are you saying it is impossible for me (or any believer) to go out and kill one person a day for the next ten years; or to get angry (in a bad way) every day for the next ten years; or to commit adultery every day for the next ten years; or to look at pornography every day for the next ten years; or to overeat every day for the next ten years (on that one you would probably die before ten years - LOL!); or to swear every day for the next ten years?

I think John is saying this is not what is the norm for the Christian, and he is writing so that we do not do this: but if we do sin, we have an advocate with the Father.

Consider this., it's not always about blatant sin in a Christians life that has to do with lying and cheating and living a self centered selfish life. It's also about going about trying to have our daily needs in life met by our own strength and reasoning.

What is really evil is not believing what the Bible says about Jesus and what He has and will do in the believers life by faith. Jesus told us what is true and where we need to go daily to have our needs met. When we try to meet our own needs for what ONLY Jesus can provide.... it is then we are sinning.

Trying to establish our OWN righteousness as believers is a sin.

Just as it's sin to not believe that Jesus is the ONLY WAY.....ONLY TRUTH....ONLY LIFE and come to Jesus and get saved by Him.... It is a sin to be saved and then not believe Jesus is the ONLY WAY.....ONLY TRUTH....ONLY LIFE.. today.

Jesus is our security., our peace.... our healing... our sanctification. to live here on earth and have our daily needs met for how to think., how to walk and relate in this world. How to relate to God., how to conduct ourselves has to come from Jesus.

I see it's completely a contradiction for me to accept Jesus provision for my soul and my eternal life and not accept Jesus for my daily provision for all these other things to be added on here while I live on this planet.

I see this is a daily mind set I must decide to make. Set your minds on things above not on things below. That means set my mind on Jesus who sits on the right hand of the Father. Allow the Holy Spirit to show me Jesus every day and to go to Him for all my needs both temporal and eternal.

I am sayin what john said, please stop trying to add to what john said,

he said he who sins has never seen god or known him, do you believe john?

he als said he who is born of god can not live in sin, do you believe him or not?

Do i think a child of god can murder a person ever day for ten years? If you think they can, you have some serious thinking to do

1. why would god allow him to do that for ten years?
2. Why would a child of god resist xhastening fr ten years and continue?
3. How can you even think to claim hey are teue children of God?

EG, you know very well that a statement like the first three lines above is really of no value on a forum like CC unless it is explained:

am sayin what john said, please stop trying to add to what john said,
he said he who sins has never seen god or known him, do you believe john?
he als said he who is born of god can not live in sin, do you believe him or not?

I had asked you a series of questions, and you elected not to answer them but instead ask me some questions back. That is OK, but now you have my brain spinning - I am not really sure what you are trying to get me to see. You didn't get the point of my questions, and threw them back at me - to try to say something to me - that I am not getting - so now I am writing back to you and explaining in a backhanded way why I don't get your point, and thus why I am not answering your questions . . .

and now I am out of time for the day, and am running away . . . not really . . . :) :p

For your consideration i would like to present an idea up for thoughtful consideration and debate.

There is only one sin that leads to hell and the true death, and that is the sin of disbelief. Not believing in Christ is the only Sin that leads to the true death.
Again:

Even demons believe in Christ. See Mt 8:29
"What do you want with us, Son of God?" they shouted. "Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?"

The demons acknowledged Jesus as the son of God (they didn't simply believe in the existence of Jesus as a human being).

Now let's see James and Matthew:

James 2:19
You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.

Mark 16:16
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Both in James 2:19 and Mark 16:16 the word BELIEVE translates PISTEVO in Greek. So, if you believe (from PISTEVO) and get baptized you are saved, but be careful because even demons believe (from PISTEVO) -- just believing is not enough.

I know many church goers who really believe that Jesus is the son of the living God, but they live in adultery. They do believe, but unless they change their ways before it's too late, they will not be saved.
