So we just finished up a Disciple 1 course at church and one of the assignments was to prayfully identify the spiritual gifts the other people in the class had.
I found it was kind of fun and insightful to figure out what body part I believed each person functioned as.
Not the whole organ but more as one cell making up some tissue that makes up the organ that makes up the various systems of the body.
I am thinking oxygen is like the Word of God breathed into us and gives us life.
Therefore you will find a lot of preachers and prophets as part of the respiratory system.
Food gets processed by the digestive system and I see this as part of the finance commity and The board of trustees.
The blood carries the nutrients from the stomach and the oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the Body. Also we have white blood cells that fight disease and platelets...so I see this as the governing body of the church or in my church: the church council.
I know some people don't like analogies or figurative language.
I was just wondering what part of Christ body do you feel that God is calling you to be?
