Christ stated that he was the way, the truth, and the light. He also stated that Satan was a liar, and the master of lies. Many people are not resting in their salvation because they have been taught lies instead of the truth in the word of God. I have witnessed so many variations of what is believed to be the truth that it nearly caused me to stumble with confusion. It is of absolute necessity that we adhere to all the truths in the entire word of God. This is necessary for overcoming the Spiritual warfare every Christian will experience. The devil is hard at work today in many ways that cause us to stumble. Attacking our belief in Christ and the Father isn't a main concern of the devil's right now. This is because over the time of Christ in the flesh til now, he has got so many lies being believed for truth by many, many people through time that we now accept and teach those lies on our own. If we do not believe in the truth, then the God of our worship is a idol in which we accept for whatever the reason or purpose may be. We can not reap the promises and benefactors offered by the only true God by believing in lies, and worshipping a false God. Christ died for our sins. That is the foundational truth in which we build, but it is laid for us to firmly build true doctrine upon. I know by the Spirit the truth in the "Good news". Many people take the gospel and create a lot of legalistic mumbo jumbo and the "Good news" becomes ritualistic religious practices that stem from a base medium of legalism. The truth has become so thwarted over time that I believe there are more people in the house of God trying to keep their feet out of the firey pits of he'll than there are people celebrating the love and grace of God. There's not much good news in that. Know the truth and the truth shall make you free.
