Christ stated that he was the way, the truth, and the light. He also stated that Satan was a liar, and the master of lies. Many people are not resting in their salvation because they have been taught lies instead of the truth in the word of God. I have witnessed so many variations of what is believed to be the truth that it nearly caused me to stumble with confusion. It is of absolute necessity that we adhere to all the truths in the entire word of God. This is necessary for overcoming the Spiritual warfare every Christian will experience. The devil is hard at work today in many ways that cause us to stumble. Attacking our belief in Christ and the Father isn't a main concern of the devil's right now. This is because over the time of Christ in the flesh til now, he has got so many lies being believed for truth by many, many people through time that we now accept and teach those lies on our own. If we do not believe in the truth, then the God of our worship is a idol in which we accept for whatever the reason or purpose may be. We can not reap the promises and benefactors offered by the only true God by believing in lies, and worshipping a false God. Christ died for our sins. That is the foundational truth in which we build, but it is laid for us to firmly build true doctrine upon. I know by the Spirit the truth in the "Good news". Many people take the gospel and create a lot of legalistic mumbo jumbo and the "Good news" becomes ritualistic religious practices that stem from a base medium of legalism. The truth has become so thwarted over time that I believe there are more people in the house of God trying to keep their feet out of the firey pits of he'll than there are people celebrating the love and grace of God. There's not much good news in that. Know the truth and the truth shall make you free.

Brother, you are absolutely correct. I was raised in the roman church system, I'm 46, now. Seven yrs ago I started to read God's Word, sorry let me preface this by stating I was in a heavy/hard rock/metal band for almost 20 yrs, never even considered.....that maybe, I should read His Word. What self-centeredness on my behalf. As I said through that man-made system of worship I was raised in, I never knew Who God was.
They taught that God was going to burn the lost, in place called "hell". But as I asked the LORD to teach me His Truth and not man "twisting" the scriptures to their own destruction, Peter said that this is what false teachers do when wrestling Paul's sayings, to their own destruction. We must remember that the New Testament was written in the Greek language and the word hell, means " the grave " in most of the NT. The Old Testament written in Hebrew, the word "sheol" same meaning "grave" .
I was scared to death of this God they painted in such a horrific way that I turned from this God they gave me. My family is still in that chair and I try to encourage them to read His Word and show that God wants to have a real relationship with us and not just to sit in a pew "having a Form of godliness but denying the power thereof". But the LORD of Glory has taught me by His Holy Spirit, the truth of His Word for the past 7 yrs now. Praise His Name the understanding and wisdom is amazing. Because brother as you know that's what this battle is all about-- truth and error -- Christ vs satan.
The Lord is looking for men and women who will stand for the truths in His Word. Otherwise we wind up doing the very thing you stated, making an idol of Him, on who "we think He is according to our own understanding" . The Bible says that "God is love", this world, in these end times needs to "see" in our lives, Jesus transforming our lives instead of the hypocrisy the world all to often sees.
I've learned that a Christian follows Christ, in everything in every choice he or she makes in one's life. Jesus says to "all", " If you would be My disciple, take up your cross Daily and follow Me". It's not a "once saved", "always saved" walk with God. I'm not saying that we can "contribute" to our salvation no, not by works. We "are saved by Grace and not of works, lest anyone should boast". But because He loved me and gave Himself for me, we Obey Him because we love Him.
The apostle Paul says what? "I die daily, it's no longer I who live but Christ living in me the hope of Glory" True Biblical Christianity that the Lord has taught me is saying Yes to Him with all our choices. Boy what powerful witnesses we would be in this corrupted world, of the true power of our Creator God/Jesus to transform our lives, taking away, cleaning up our old/bad habits. As the Spirit of God changes us, from glory to glory into the Image of His Son Jesus.
I believe if the world actually saw Biblical Christianity being lived out in our lives. More souls would be drawn to Jesus and be won into eternity, forever to be with Him who died to "save us from our sins, that we should not perish but have eternal life". I'm a new member here, I just saw your post and liked it. May God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ richly bless you and yours. Hope to talk to you soon

OK, let's get down to specifics? is the Gospel according to TULIP the truth or a lie? Many here believe that it is a lie.

Well to be quite honest here it was never about the Christ vrs Satan. Jesus's ministry was to set the captives free, to save us and bring us back to God.
This myth that Satan and Jesus Duke it out is just that .....a myth. God himself offered up blessings or cursings.
Satan has no power of his own in fact no one except God almighty has power.

I agree...I was leaning towards the effects it bestows upon on us Christians.

Actually, Satan displays very much power. He pretty much runs this world system and he does it by influencing man. A man thinks he has an idea to make him rich and prosperous but really it is Satan. He can run things his way as long as man does not believe in him. That is the devil's greatest deception--He doesn't exist.

When compared to God, Satan's power is checked. God could have imprisoned the fallen angels on Mars. They are spirits, they don't need oxygen. Why did God put them right where He was beginning a new work with mankind? Satan is just a tool for evil for us to overcome. Nobody will make the Kingdom of God without overcoming Satan and his cohorts.
