That We Should Be Called Children Of God,
This Is How We Know What Love Is
That He laid down His Life For Us,
So what John tells us is that we are to follow Jesus
in all that we do. At first that seems pretty simple
but what happens when someone steps on our toes.
Is love our first reaction or is it something else. Well
Jesus said love your neighbor as yourself. So we are
human and not yet perfect and our first thoughts may
be retaliation but as Christians our second thoughts
should be forgiveness and follow the path of Jesus.
God is always ready to love us, that is His promise to
us. Sometimes we can't understand on human terms
how God can do that. How can He forgive those who
are unforgiveable, but for God, no one is, that is how
much He loves us. So as we walk along in our daily
Christian life, we need to grow in God's terms and not
our own terms.
