Julianna, thank you for posting the above Scripture verses (Luke 6:27:35). Here are three quotes I have concerning these important words of Jesus, which may help encourage us to live out these Christ-like characteristics when interacting with those whom we deem to be our enemies.

I believe our relationship with Jesus and, through Him, God, is personal, and so all of us are correct in our personal interpretations of scripture. :)

"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him." Matthew 6:5-8

I am a Canadian missionary serving in America. The Gospel is lost in North America. 78% of college students who enter school Christian leave without their faith. Our mission is working to change this and create a strong generation that knows the Gospel and its power.
God bless you and your mission in abundance! (As I have said before) I firmly believe that modern day secularism and "progressivism" is a tool of the devil to turn America away from its Judeo-Christian roots.

The Parable of the Bags of Gold (Matthew 25)

14 “Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them. 15 To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag,[a] each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. 16 The man who had received five bags of gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five bags more. 17 So also, the one with two bags of gold gained two more. 18 But the man who had received one bag went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money.

I wanted to give all praise and glory to God!
Even though I battle dislexia and learning issues, God gave me the help and understanding to read through the OT compleatly without skipping , from begginning to end.
It took over a year, but the gift of accomplishing this has filled my eyes with tears and my heart with praise!
Now on to the NT!
Thankyou Jesus for helping me do, what I had always been told and thought I couldnt do !!!
God honors obedience!

Here is a very edifying poem from one of my favorite hymn writers, Fanny Crosby (1820-1915).

NOBODY IS RIGHTEOUS NOT ONE! Romans 3:10..... Romans 10:3 warns - Since they did not know the righteousness that comes from God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness.

HERE is the deal, GOD wants to make YOU.. one with CHRIST..literally... to put YOUR SPIRIT into CHRISTS and to make you ONE with GOD .. hence, HEAVEN is within you and LIVING WATER will flow from within. BUT...

YOU MUST HATE THE WORLD AND ALL THAT IS IN IT AS JESUS SAID:

ASK, READ, REPENT and only seek heaven and do not love the world of anything in it, I promise you all.. that this is what the TRUE message of the Gospel IS because IF YOU JUST OPEN your eyes and heart and take these Scriptures for what they are and BOLDLY ASK GOD for heaven within you now, the Living Water, AND KEEP READING, fasting and pushing hard reading Matthew to Revelations and suffering like JESUS did with fasting and not sinning at ALL.. GOD will do IT!
