Can we be in one accord? Be united under God as one people. We are the children of God all with equal value to God. WE each have gifts. We all need each other. WE are all to work together as one body. No ones better than anyone else. God is our head.

I believe if all Christians focus on the fundamentals that they all agree on. And agree to disagree on the grey areas and leave them to one side a closer more trusting relaqtionship will develop.
It might even work in Politics.

We should be able to, but no, I don't think that will happen until we are in heaven. Just look at how much disagreement is in here.

as long as people think that what other think will send them to hell, or that what others do is worse than what they do, people will quarrel. sadly .

Hi Gals and Guys,
Those who seek obedience to Jesus must. Jesus commands, Do not resist an evil man. Surely that also means not to resist a fellow believer.

Mark 9:33 They came to Capernaum. When he was in the house, he asked them. "What were you arguing about on the road? " 34 But they kept quiet because on the way they had argued about who was the greatest. Sitting down , Jesus called the Twelve and said, "If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last, and the servant of ALL.
50 ........ and be at peace with each other.'

If the apostles were arguing about who among them was the greatest, what criteria do you think was used to substantiate one's position? Please discuss this question.

Romans 14:4 Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To his own master he stands of falls. And he will stand for the Lord is able to make him stand.

Believers today are in one accord, united under God as one people. How do I know? From scripture.

10 Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. (1 Corinthians 1:10)

This wasn't a casual suggestion. Believers all speak the same thing. There are no divisions among us. We are perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

1 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, 3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. (Ephesians 4:1-3)

Believers keep the unity of the Spirit.

11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. (2 Corinthians 13:11)

8 Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; (1 Peter 3:8)

We are of one mind.

27 Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel, (Philippians 1:27)

We stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel.

2 fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. (Philippians 2:2)

We are like-minded, are of one accord, and are of one mind.

16 Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind. (Philippians 2:16)

We are of the same mind.

6 We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. (1 John 4:6)

We, believers, hear each other. Those who hear us know God, and are therefore believers themselves. Those who do not hear us are not of God. It is by this that we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

3 Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. (Jude 3)

Believers contend earnestly for the faith.

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, (2 Corinthians 10:3-5)

The standard here is every thought.

12 For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body--whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free--and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13)

16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever-- 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. (John 14:16-17)

20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. 21 I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth. (1 John 2:20-21)

27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. (1 John 2:27)

26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. (John 14:26)

Believers have all been made to drink into one Spirit, the Spirit of truth, which is our Helper, and He abides in us, dwells within us, and is with us forever. We have an anointing from the Holy One, and we know all things; we know the truth, and we know that no lie is of the truth. The anointing abides in us, and we do not need that anyone teach us. The anointing teaches us concerning all things; the Holy Spirit teaches us all things.

Hi Guys and Gals,
Reading this thread brought this to mind. What do you think? We are one body. As scripture tells us, of different parts, Jesus being the head. Other body parts are mentioned. Could it be that for example, if I am a finger, am I expecting that you, who are an eye, should be doing the same as I do. Being a finger I have absolutely no idea of what is required of an eye. In my ingnorance I expect an eye to do the same work as a finger. How weird is that. Being a finger would be cool because it is with your finger ( which you wet) that you tell the direction from which the wind is blowing. The cooling effect ho ho ho. ( is this spiritual disernment of the Holy Spirit) Maybe I should be careful in case my sense of humor start to show.
