Hi Gals and Guys,
I pray for a married couple who have separated. They are both wonderful people from a casual perspective. It has lead me to pray for married persons in this vain. That in Jesus, marriage partners would not become pious to the extent that they lock the other partner out of a loving relationship.This could be done unintentionally or deliberately so that Jesus is used as an excuse to compartmentalise their marriage. Do you feel that Jsus is mis-used in this manner.

A true disciple does not compartmentalize his life. He will live faithfully in all aspects as serving the Lord. Be the best employer or employee. Be the best parent, child, or sibling. Be the best spouse.

the marriage outlines are pretty clear. Wives submit to your husbands and husbands love your wives as Christ loved the church. There is no compartments within the marriage as the wife is serving her husband and the husband is loving the wife.

Do you see this happening and if so to what degree. The opposite would be people putting their own desires first.
