Of course, what used to be called the Bible is read in two different ways. Most of the Jews read the OT as if it were all of the Bible, and not with Jesus Christ of the NT. The Christians interpret the OT according to the Greek NT. The Jews of today mostly read the OT as if Jesus Christ is not the Messiah, and so they read the Hebrew text in a way radically different than the Church does. But for 2,000 years there have been no temple in Jerusalem animal sacrifices, which should tell us something. Judaism has changed. They no longer offer yearly animal sacrifices in a Jewish temple. Christ has become the sacrifice of God for all the sins of all sinners. In Erie PA Scott R. Harrington |

It could be argued that Jesus appeared a couple of times in the Old Testament:
#1. to Abraham - God came to Abraham as a man to deliver the promise of Isaac as well discuss the destruction of Sodom #2. to Joshua - He appears as the General of the Lord's army, Joshua falls to his in worship. #3. To Nebunezzar - He appeared as the fourth person in the fiery furnace with Shadrack, Meshack & Abednigo All of which were instances where God appeared to men in human form. Whether or not this was Jesus could be debated however, the bible does say in John that Jesus was with God in the beginning. |
