If we read the teachings of Jesus, which are found in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, we will discover that we all have plenty of work to do. It serves no purpose to make up a lot of other rules to follow. When we do, we are just like the Pharisees.

Right?

4 For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. (Matthew 23:4)

28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." (Matthew 11:28-30)

Absolutely! How much more do we need than "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."? (Paraphrase) Or, "Love the Lord with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and will all your mind; and love your neighbor as yourself."? (Luke 10:27)
