"But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison."

Something that comes to mind about the tongue that no man can tame. The words that can come out of a persons mouth can be a deadly poison, not just to themselves, cause it does show their true nature, but also like a poison to others. It can hurt others, and when someone constantly hears these kinds of words, it can hurt, can do a lot of damage. Hows the saying go, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.” Well words do hurt, how one is treated, our actions can sometimes be seen in the words that come out of our mouth makes a big difference.

The Spirit of God working in us, and through us can tame the tongue. Seeking and asking for true wisdom does come from above, in that wisdom that the Lord is so ready to give unto them that ask. In that knowledge, we come closer to the Lord, and there the Lord by His Spirit communes with us and shews unto us His love, and His ways. It affects us in the way we act, speak, the way we treat others. There are them though, that care of nothing of the Lord's way and their way is as the ways of the world.

That's my thoughts at the moment, know there is much more that's needs to be taken to heart.

Lord Bless :)

Thanks for checking it out and I find it funny that James speaking of a tongue of venom is so similar to the snake that caused Original sin.

Some use their tongue to entice another into believing a false doctrine, much as the serpent did with Eve. We are seeing this through out the world within false beliefs.

Indeed, this is why I love James' call to deed in order to display the faith inside.

Hi DanuckInUSA,
James 2:5 Listen, my dear brothers: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith. and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?

I feel this verse from James answers that portion of the beautitudes where it says , Blessed are the poor in spirit.

So from James there are two conditions, one poor and of the poor, those who love Him.This does not mean all poor.

I love that James doesn't say that we can fix the poor but describes God's will in the poor.
