There was once when HarpyEagle brought this up in the chatroom.
I was just wondering, could there be a possibility that there are life forms from another galaxy? I mean, the universe is vast. Very vast. Too vast. lol, far beyond comprehension (at least for me). And it's doesn't have space and time, it doesn't have corners and dimensions and all. It doesn't have an end!

Another thing. What do you think of black holes?

I would greatly appreciate your opinions. Friendly and healthy debates are accepted.

No. No possibility whatsoever. If there was it was created by God then the fall would have affected it, and if it was intelligent then it would have a free will which would mean it would need a redeemer because of the universality of sin. It just doesn't agree with scripture. I believed in aliens and stuff my entire life, til I got saved. When I was in school I used to write essays about it and stuff. Then I felt like a doofus after I got saved! :D

I dont think there are other living beings in the universe. As far as other planets and/or objects we dont know of, i think there are mysteries of god's creation even in this very earth that we still havent discovered. But i still havent seen any biblical proof on et's or ufo's and e.t.c. so til then i dont think there is. But thats a really good question.

I personally don't think so Abing. I think since God decided to send Jesus to earth to save mankind, this is where all human life is. I understand what you mean though by the vastness of the Universe and I do believe that there are mysteries out there and things we will never know about or understand.

On a side note: I think that NASA waste money on all these explorations. Its just my opinion. :p
haha, lol, and i guess, NASA won't end until Christ's return lol.

hmmm, yeah thats something that confuses me though, sin - did it affect the whole universe? :| coz i have no idea. if it did, then there isnt any possibility then,.. but if it didnt, then, maybe there is another earth! lol, and maybe they didnt disobey God in the first place, so they could be perfect. -just came to my mind tho while studying about it,. but yeah tell me more about sin being universal, cause i really dont know. :D

The second law of thermodynamics seems to have come into existence at the fall (I believe Gen 3:17 is when it happened), all things are falling apart (entropy) because of it. If something is left alone, it will eventually fall into disorder. We know this is true by looking at things from outside of our own planet. So it obviously affects more than just earth, which means the rest of the universe will be affected. Hence at the fall creation as a whole fell. Make sense?

NASA spends billion on research in space never finding anything when that money could be used to do cancer research or other diseases.

I've often wondered about this subject, especially before turning my life over to Christ. Could there be life in another galaxy? Could there be intelligent life some place else? While one can speculate, the truth is no one really knows nor will we know at least not in this lifetime.

However, I think there is a clue in the bible found in the book of Revelation. The bible says that after the 1000 year reign of Christ here on earth and the Great White Throne Judgment, heaven and earth as they are now shall pass away and a "New Jerusalem" shall be formed as the spirit realm and the physical realm merge. A new beginning perhaps?

Think of it this way, all the different species of Angels had to come from someplace...

Is there a possibility of other life forms out there. Yes if you just do the maths of the number of planets etc out there the possibility is very high. The question is why did God make all these planets, stars etc which are beyond visible sight from earth. He would have only needed to make ones close to earth if everything revolved around the earth. But whether that life is intelligent or not is another matter.

I think that NASA wastes lots of money looking for extra life too. However I really think this is just a front for something else. Just like the moon landings in the 60's. Because no governmnet in their right mind throws millions (billions?) of dollars looking through bits of dirt, just for interest's sake.

Yes I agree. The possibility IS high. I don't know how many galaxies there are, but here in our own galaxy, there were solar systems found. Those were almost the same as our own. Hmmm, what I'm wondering now is, can we find anything that says about it in the bible? I also agree that those are beyond thinking :p and maybe we humans wouldn't be able to comprehend God's magnificence in that area :p.

Why did God create anything? To glorify Himself.
