Jhn 9:2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Understand here that the people of Israel UNDERSTOOD that SIN CAUSE SICKNESS
Jhn 9:3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
Jesus inform us that THIS MANS CONDITION (as opposeed to the ill conditions of ALL men) was caused BY GOD so that HE/JESUS could manifest the Glory of God to the people and they would know that He was among them.
I take this to mean that it's not a sin to be "sick". It is not sin TO BE sick (unless you choose to STAY SICK), but sin CAUSES sickness. I did read the first page and I liked juliet's comparison of depression to some of the sentiments expressed in the psalms. It really does give one the impression that whoever was writing that stuff was feeling quite down. If you are going to join into a debate, you should read the entire thread so you can know what has been said so as to not have us going round in circles AGAIN. Thanks!
