Ok, assuming 90% (for the sake of argument, probably more...) of the 540, that on average die every 5 minutes are non-Christian, thats 486 in the time it'll take me to write this.

If I saw someone I didn't know, unaware they walking towards an obstacle in the street, Id warn them if I had the opportunity! But people hanging on the edge of eternal ****ation and I find it harder to muster the courage........
Im not wanting to go out with a 'THE END IS NIGH' sign, and I recognise you have to be wise with how you talk to people. Often not mentioning hell straight away is the best option.........I just find it scary how unconcerned I sometimes find myself regarding lost souls, because eternity seems so far away and irrelevant.........why would I want to burden someone with talk of the afterlife.......

No doubt some will think this is just needless scaremongering, but from what I've read and understand of hell in the Bible, if it's to be believed. Then what else is there to be more scared of than an eternity in hell??!
I need to reevaluate my time, and anything that holds me back from starting conversations with lost people, and to be more open to promptings of the Holy Spirit!!!!!!!!!! Thankfully God is gracious, and knows our weaknesses/strengths in witnessing, and thank God, we don't have to do it to earn salvation, but if we honestly believe hell is real and eternal..........

Hi Tim,

Nice topic.

Depends on what you want tell these people. Generally speaking I think your idea is actually spot on with what Jesus preached about going into all the world. Whether we call it "warning" them or "teaching" them, the point is to get out there and do it.

Unfortunately it appears most Christians in the world today have this idea that they can pay someone else to do the job for them, but I think people who do that are really missing out on something vital within the kingdom of heaven.

It's a bit like the rich man and Lazarus parable that someone recently commented on. In the story the rich man was sent to hell because he had his good life while he lived not caring for others or doing anything about the suffering in the world, while lazarus when to heaven because he experience so many hardships in life.

Christians who refuse to apply Jesus' teachings about Going into all the world to preach the gospel, but rather use a small percentage of the pay check they get from working for the system, are a bit like the rich man.

Christians who leave everything that the system has to offer behind and just get busy teaching people about the teachings of Jesus are a bit like Lazarus. To be sure they will experience hardships, but in the end they will be blessed for their efforts.

Perhaps it's not really all those "lost" people out there who need the warning, but rather all those complacent Christians saying "lord lord" from the comfort of their living room.
