The scribes of Luke and Matthew were falling over themselves trying to link Jesus to David pbut that they forgot that Jesus has no link to Joseph.

Hi PBUH, Yes, good observation regarding the above!

All the priests and prophets were levites and there springs Jesus from the tribe of Judah breaking the tradition!

By the way, what does PBUH mean? Please excuse me, I'm not quite with it yet! I've just clicked on to what BTW stands for, but still havn't worked out what OP is? (other person maybe?) not important, but good to know.

Hi Crazy, Yes it looks like we're fussing but I think the point of the question was missed.

If Jesus is the son of David, and most trinitarians believe that Jesus is God, then would it be right to call God the son of David? Please keep in mind that God is creator of all and is our Father...The true Father of everything created. If David prayed to the Father, then it sounds strange that God would be called the son of David.

Calling God son just doesnt seem to fit...something to ponder on..Keep searching and dont throw the towel in! It's all good.

Dear Wakeup, Jesus Christ is descended through Mary from the house of David. Christ is in this sense the Son of David. His ancestors were Jewish. He is a Davidic King. The King of Israel, King of the Jesus, King of kings and LORD of lords, the King of the Church, the LORD GOD and our LORD and Saviour. In Erie PA Scott R. Harrington

Jesus is the root and offspring of David which means Jesus is the Creator of David as God,and the offspring of David as the man Christ Jesus,for Jesus is God manifest in the flesh,fully God and fully man.

ahh this bible verses will explain itself...........(Matthew 22:42-45) (Psalm 110:1) (Mark 12:36-37) but still Jesus is the in the line of David just not the way i think your thinking
