Since I started my repentance from the sin in my life, I have had so many people tell me that I have the Holy Spirit in me. But is this true? Well, I have NEVER believed them. Something always told me that these people that say these words does not have the Holy Spirit in them either, and they have no clue as to what a person looks like when they have the Holy Spirit in him. More importantly … what a person DO when he have the Holy Spirit in him! They do greater works than Jesus!
Now 14 years later and with a lot more Bible knowledge through many hours of quiet time WITH the Holy Spirit, I know why! If you think you have the Holy Spirit in you, and you want to be sure you know what you talk about, answer this question to yourself! “Do I receive EVERYTHING I ask of God?” If your answer is …NO! Beware!!!! If it is yes, I will say to you….. Oh blessed man of God this has realized in your life! From the book of John 14:12 to 14… 12Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
I KNOW I do not have the Holy Spirit in me because I do not get all my prayers answered. I do not do greater works than Jesus. I know Jesus does not and cannot lie, but I also know MANY people lie when they say they have the Holy Spirit, and then they are as powerless as I in the works Jesus did. Oh Satan sends them MANY pastors and false teachers to comfort them in their hopeless state, but even these pastors are as powerless in God’s work as I am. They also pray for many sick, and then that person remains sick. Jesus NEVER said to a lame person….. “Rise and walk!”… and that person remained lame. If I fail ONCE in prayer, I Fail the Holy Spirit test.
This I type in BOLD so that you do not misunderstand this verse….. Jesus CANNOT lie…. He said any person that believes on HIM shall do greater works than Jesus Himself, because ….. IT IS GOD”S WILL! THAT IS THE WAY FATHER GOD IS GLORIFIED IN THE HOLY PEOPLE TODAY! Holy people are holy because of the Holy Spirit IN THEM. Not WITH them, IN THEM!!!
When we repent we receive the Holy Spirit as a teacher, and a LEADER, and we should FOLLOW Him. Let us get this….. The day we give our hearts to Jesus we get a LEADER….. The LEAD us to Jesus. If we stop following Him, we obviously do not want to give our hearts to Jesus. And without perseverance… FOLLOWING the Holy Spirit, we cannot hand our hearts over to Jesus. When you give your heart to Jesus, you will have to do so IN PERSON. And that can only happen once you followed the Holy Spirit ALL THE WAY to the presence of the SON! You are only saved once you GAVE JESUS YOUR ALL! Jesus says…. Matthew 24:13….13But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. . Look there is an endurance period…. What did you endure in the first day you “gave your heart” to Jesus? You have to endure FOLLOWING the Holy Spirit in His teaching and His LEAD!!!! Where does the Holy Spirit leads you too? To Jesus and Father God. And The Holy Spirit leads you OUT of ALL sin in your life! The Holy Spirit leads you in Truth to Holiness. John 16:13…. It is this Spirit that will glorify God IN US!!! And the Works this Spirit does through us is greater than the works He did through Jesus! This Spirit is the Spirit that TEACHES us this Truth!
If you do not believe this, you do not believe the Spirit that so many people claim they have inside them! Just as Jesus spoke only the Words God gave Him, so will this exact same Spirit that was in Jesus, also do GREATER things than Jesus did! GET IT! If you have the Holy Spirit you will do greater things than Jesus! I do not do these things, because I have my spirit in me. If and when I am FILLED with God’s Spirit, is there place for my spirit in me? NO!!! Filled with Holy Spirit means…. FILLED!
To clearly see a transformation from man to holy man, we will read how a town got saved by God! Remember the Lord Jesus said…. Those that endures to the end, they shall be saved. The end of what we may ask, well, it is to the end of MYSELF! The moment I die spiritually, that same moment Jesus is reborn in me! AND THEN I AM SAVED. This moment is referred to in the word as… Reborn / filled with the Holy Spirit / baptized in the Holy Spirit / Born of God / God’s Seed remaineth in me / receiving the Gift of the Holy Spirit / Quickened by the Holy Spirit / Glorified / Holy man / SAVED / made One with God / To be IN God and son / Both the Father and Jesus made their abode with this person / The Love of God been perfected!
Let us bow our confused heads and ask the Spirit of God, the Spirit Whom is WITH us all to SHOW us His Way! It is God’s promise that if we hear this Word and DO IT that we shall know the Truth and that His Truth shall SET US FREE! Now ask with me….. “Father, please let me know Your Truth, AMEN!”
Before we read Acts 8, let us look at what the city of Samaria believed God was… They believed Simon the sorcerer, giving out himself as a great one. He was so successful that the people even said… This man is the great power of God…. Just as we do with our pastors and ministers, we also believe them to be God’s men, but are they? We will see! Just like Samaria we might be mislead! But then Philip came along and he OUTPERFORMED Simon. Now the people witnessed GOD AT WORK! But look the people WITH ONE ACCORD gave heed to Philip! And now the unclean spirits were chased out of the people! The lame got healed. ALL of them! You can reason that these people believed that is why they got healed, but Philip was pretty impressive because HE WAS FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT! But he was a deacon and an evangelist, not an Apostle! Evangelists and Apostles have different authority and gifts! And now we know what Samaria was like before God, let us read How God became evident in the people of Samaria, and how they were saved!
Now let us read Acts 8 from verse 5 to 17. 5Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. 6And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. 7For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. 8And there was great joy in that city. 9But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one: 10To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God. 11And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries. 12But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. 13Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.
14Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: 15Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: 16(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) 17Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
Now my life and how I gave HEED to God! Like Samaria, I was also tricked by the great power of God in my pastor. This pastor was telling me that I have the Holy Spirit in me and that I am reborn, because I gave my heart to Jesus! Well I believed him but maybe not as complete as Samaria believed Simon! Then one night God said to me…. “Genesis 1:1 START!!!!!” It was like a Philip entered into my life the moment when I started reading the Bible with the Holy Spirit as my guide, I suddenly discovered the TRUTH, not half the truth presented by a misleading spirit like Simon (or in my case my pastor)
When I read in Genesis 4 that God said to Cain that he should RULE over sin, I was furious with all the preachers that preached that we CANNOT rule over sin, and that we will always be fallible men. Well obviously they NEVER read Genesis 4, because God COMMANDS Cain to rule over sin. Even when it is sin’s desire to be part of us, we should RULE OVER SIN! It was only the beginning of MANY disappointments in the SIMONS of this world they are the many false pastors that were not appointed by God. And even though some of them perform miracles in the Name of Jesus, I am now convinced that like me Jesus does not even KNOW them or me.
The difference between me and the false teachers is: I believe we CAN live a sinless life here on earth. And if I am wrong, then God was disappointing! But if I am right and God wants it for my life, then they will NEVER experience perfection! Maybe that is why Jesus said… Matthew 5:48 … 48Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Jesus knew what His salvation will achieve when God finally GLORIFY a saved person.
Look at this….. Eph 4:11 to 13…. 11And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
Now! Let us pull this apart and devour this Word, maybe this will also happen to us!
1. God appoints these people!
2. These people had to be perfect themselves. How can a person that is not perfect himself help another person to be perfect? And what made these people perfect in the first place? Well God did.
3. The word saint in greek is “HAGIOS” Meaning …. Spiritually pure, and morily blameless. Even before God this person is already found without sin! But apperently by this text this person (sinless person) is not yet perfect to the measure of Jesus Christ. And not yet fit sor the work of the ministry. Or to be edified into the Body of Christ, and to be brought into the UNITY of the faith, to the full knowledge of the Son of God. Unto a PERFECT man. To the full measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.
Let there be NO misunderstanding here…. I did not write the Bible, I KNOW God did! And this is God’s teachings. God says here that HE appointed these office-bearers for the PERFECTING of the sinless people (saints). If God says He appointed these people to perform this work, then He will also make them ABLE to perform these tasks.
Because we know ONLY Jesus is perfect, God confirms this with… Unto a perfect man to the same stature than Jesus. Then it makes only perfect sense that it is the fulfilling of the Holy Spirit that ensures this perfection. The obvious…. Perfect = Filled with Holy Spirit. Normal human = not filled with Holy Spirit. And there is nothing more to say about this.
What did Jesus say about perfect…. Be perfect even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. That means to be as perfect as God Himself, and this we know only the Holy Spirit can be. If there is 99% Holy Spirit and 1% human (sinning) spirit in a body, it means that body is imperfect! It has to be 100% or 0%. Remember John the Baptist…. God said he would be filled with the Holy Ghost even from his mother’s womb. Luke 1: 15. That is why John the Baptist also did not sin in his life. And he could not because He was filled with GOD’S SPIRIT! John was never reborn, but he was chosen to be the holy prophet to prepare the way for Jesus, and the holy prophet Eliah, God promised was John the baptist.
See holy people were ALWAYS driven by the Holy Ghost… 2 Peter 1:21. And the Holy Ghost can only drive perfectly! If a body sin AFTER the Holy Spirit took over, God sins! A body cannot receive the Holy Spirit as an indwelling spirit, when there are an unclean spirit in the body. That unclean spirit needs to repent! DIE OFF SIN! It needs to be washed by the blood of Jesus to become clean and then God will baptize it with holiness. All clean spirits are baptized into God’s Holy Spirit, to become the same Holy Spirit, A Spirit that can obey GOD ONLY! Like Jesus did.
Jesus says….. 1 John 4:1… 1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
A spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, is a person that lives like Jesus. Aperfect clean life with MANY Godly attributes! And a person that CLAIMS this but lives like other humans in sin is from the ANTICHRIST! I know thousands of these people. I am not one of them, because I have NEVER claimed to have the Holy Spirit in me! But I am sure I have the Holy Spirit WITH me, otherwise I would not have known this to share with you! And I have a hope that soon He will move in, because I obey Him, as good as I can. He laid it on my heart to share this with you, and I did!
May the Father grant me His perfection, it is in His will, not mine! And because He wants too, I would propably also receive it! May Father God have His way! Amen!
