Much has been said about the Law Of The Lord but a general understanding and simple way of putting it into our minds now and then. It just helps to go back to it from time to time.
II Corinthians 13:1; "This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established." So, looking in the bible for those witness's to help us with the law and what it is for us today.
WITNESSES:
"The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: (Psalms 19:7)
"But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night." (Psalms 1:2)
"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy but to fulfil." (Matthew 5:17)
"But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty(notice another law), and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed." (James 1:25)
"Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve on another." (Galatians 5:1,13)
"Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." (2 Corinthians 3:17)

SIN IS THE TRANSGRESSION OF THE LAW (I John 3:4)
"The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law" (ICorinthians 15:56)
Death could not have entered into the world if sin had not entered first. Sin intorduced death and armed him with a dagger so both body and soul are slain. Because the strength of sin is the law. The law of God forbids all transgression and sentences those who commit it to eternal death.
Sin gets its controling and binding power from the law. The law curses the transgresser and provides no help for him. If nothing else intervenes, he must, through it, continue to be under the empire of death. But, what the law could not do, because it is law (the law provides no pardon) is done by Jesus Christ. He died to slay death and rose again to bring man from under the empire of death. Done by his mercy. He gave us victory over sin, Satan, death, the grave and hell.
Now, the law was a curse because of this and really was used as a schoolmaster to bring us to Christ. (Galatians 3:13,23,24)
"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." (Romans 8:1,2)
"For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death." He paid the penality (Romans 8:3,4) and made sin known (Romans ch.7) It was purged with blood (Hebrews 9:22).
The law was not destroyed. (Romans 3:31) It was established (Romans 3:31)
Jeremiah 31:33 said I will put the law in their inwards parts and establish it in their hearts. He comes a new creature in Christ and given a new name (Isaiah 62:2) and (Romans 2:28,29).
"For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwqrdly; and circumcision is of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose pr;aise is not of men, but of God" He is now the Israel of God (Galations 6:15,16) and Revelation 2:17 tells us we are given a new name.
If you are not in Christ you are still in bondage(to the law Galatians 4:9 and Galatians 4:23-25) but if you have come to Christ you are free and under the law of Liberity. (Galatians 4:26)

Simply put, I believe that acceptance of Christ as our Lord and Savior frees us from damnation under the law, but His very presence in our lives compels us to want to obey the law.

I have discussed this subject at length, it is the subject beyond all else that my heart is burdened by. I have NEVER seen a better post on this subject than yours. You obviously know the heart of the Gospel of grace.

NEVER STOP PROCLAIMING IT. THIS IS THE CORE OF THE GOSPEL AND WHY CHRIST DIED ON THE CROSS

The scriptueres you quote are laid on my heart also.

Rom 3:31 is one of the most understated verses in the Bible. The law is established by grace through faith, not by looking to the written law and striving to obey it and hinging entry into Hevenm on obediance to the law.

Rom ch 7 is the most illuminating chapter in the NT on this subject I believe. When Paul looked to the written law he was a slave to sin, but by dying to the law and living by faith in Christ he had victory over sin

This is the heart of victory in the Christian life. You know the truth, please NEVER stop proclaiming it.

FOR SIN SHALL NOT BE YOUR MASTER, FOR YOU ARE NOT UNDER LAW BUT UNDER GRACE
Rom 6:14

You don't know how much I appreciate your post

God Bless

JESUS SAID FOLLOW ME. WE MUST FAST, WE MUST BE HOLY.. WE MUST PRAY A LOT>>> WE MUST HATE THE WORLD AND ALL THAT IS IN IT (NOT THE PEOPLE).

WE MUST BE ONE WITH THE FATHER AND SEEK THIS ONLY UNTIL WE ARE OVERSHADOWED BY POWER FROM ON HIGH.... WE MUST BE ONE ... AS CHRIST WAS ONE WITH THE FATHER.. the same.

• Rev 3:20 - "If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.”
• Galatians 2:20 - "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me."

[FONT=&quot]•John 17:21 - Jesus said: "That all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be IN us."
