do you worhip a God that can die, the saying amongst christians is that God died for us.
God died for us and was buried for three days. and on the third day he rose from the dead?
yet the scripture says that the dead can not do anything eccle.9: 5 for the living know that they shall die,
but the dead know not anything, neither have they anymore a reward ; for the memory of them is forgotten.

can the dead resurrect it self? no , dont think so, or he is not really dead, you agree?
so if God resurected himself, than he is not really dead. so god did not die.

they will say God can do anything, i agree.but this is not the question , the question is.
is the God of the christians a mortal god,a God that can be killed by humans?
yes they say, he was a hundred percent human and a hundred percent man.
now how does that work, one can not be a spirit and flesh the same time.
paul said in 1cor.15:44 ---there is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body . cant be both the same time.

if Jesus was God, then God died ,was resurected by him self, and he gave him self a reward.
my question: what can one reward God? for everything is his. it says that he was given all authority.
well hallo, doesnt God allways had all authority? so something does not jell here.
we need to go back to the drawing board, and start seeking for the truth , because the doctrine has been
forced on us from the beginning, not easy to change. God wants us to seek for him and to know him.
God did not die, for he is God, he is spirit john4:23.24.

if Jesus is realy God, that would make God the son of david, and this would be absurd .
there is no such as God the father, God the son, God the holy spirit, i can not find it anywhere in scripture.
and what about God the man??? i heard that mentioned a few times.
1john5:7. for there are three that bear record in heaven: the father, the word, and the holy ghost:
and these three are one.( the father, his word, and truth.) nothing too difficult to understand.
Gods word (not God ) became flesh, is born through the root of david. inside him dwelleth the word,
the flesh is the temple, the flesh died, and God resurected him, gave him all authority, and made him sit on his right.
when God spoke to the prophets, he told them what to say, but it was different with jesus, gods word was inside him, everytime he opened his mouth,God spoke. Jesus said; what my father tells me that i say.
i hope this will give some light to all you seekers.

wakeup.

Personally I'll just ask Jesus what it all means when I meet Him.

When you die, you don't really die. You either are with the Lord or you go to Hell. Jesus went to Hell Jesus had no sin in Himself so Hell had no legal right to hold on to Him. I wonder if the sin of the entire world that Jesus took upon Himself was left behind in Hell. Tossed into God's memory hole (newspeak Orwel's 1984).

in this question you ask if we worship a mortal God. we do not. "the saying among christians is that God died for us." actually we say that Jesus the son of God died for us. Jesus died for our sins and three days later God brought his son back to life. you move off quickly based on this misrepresentation. you ask questions like can God reward himself or resurrect himself, he rewarded and resurrected Jesus, his son. God will also reward and ressurect you if you believe in his son. you also claim the "doctrine" has been forced on us, which if you have been forced to believe, then you dont believe. no one is forcing us to be a christian, its something we choose.

here is your answer by the way.

they have seperate bodies and a shared conscience. we are all part of it. you have a body that is seperate from God, yet everything we ALL say and do in ALL our lives serves God. every song you sing, book you read or show you watch, are preparing you. because while your flesh is seperate from God, your spirit, which you have in you right now, is part of the conscience of God. this was made possible by Jesus, the biological son of God.

now i lay me down to sleep, i pray the Lord my soul to keep
and if i die before i wake,i pray the Lord my soul to take
in Jesus name
amen

asking for protection, while your in the dark
asking for salvation, if you die before seeing the light
asking God in the name of his son

"the window is the eye of the soul, how clear the eye, how clear the soul."
when you look into the pupil of an eye, is the reflection inside the pupil, dark or clear

"if you are "dead" and you believe in Jesus, you will "live" again. if you are "alive" and believe in Jesus you will never "die"
"asleep" "awake" "awake" "sleep"

when one goes straight to heaven at death then there is no resurection of the dead.
and a gentile that had never had a chance to hear about the lord, for example one that lives high on the mountains, and in the deep jungle. what will happen to them? there willl be millions of them, going back in time and now. will they all be burned?

Ok if you want my personal opinion, which I base on my intepertation of what scriptures says. I may be wrong but God hasn't answered that prayer yet so, its my story right now and I'm sticking to it. Here it is.

1. Jesus died and enter hell because he wanted to show us what would happen after we died. He left the sins of the world in Hell and no longer looked upon them or counted them against those who believed that He died and rose again for the forgiveness of sin because he is the Son of God, the Child spoken of in prophecy. He was foretold since we Mankind lost the first spiritual war, failed the first spiritual test. Even then God revealed His divine plan. Let us quickly revisit the story of Adam and Eve for those of you who might have forgotten. Here is how I intepret the words of the Bible into language of the common masses of today.

Ok see God made us perfect. we had no clothes not material bodies, we were just spirit floating around tending to the garden of Eden. God told us to be his gardeners, vineyard keepers. He entrusted us with His possessions. the fertile earth, the plants and animals He gave us charge and control over.

He set up a test to see if we were worthy of His Divine trust. He set boundaries that we were not to cross: do not eat of this one tree.

God wants us to the same in our relationships with others. For example if you encounter evil turn from it. tell it that you love the sinner but if that person crosses the line and beats or cheats on you, then you keep the divine right to leave because you owe your alliegence first to GOD and you must protect the Temple that has been dedicated to God YOUR BODY.

In enters Satan with his lies he tempts Eve. She fails the test, she is guilible and simpleminded not reasoning out what God told her and keeping it in her heart. She listened to Satan's words versus believing God's. That is where she let down her shields and allowed the seed of sin into her heart.

It is a warning to us: if you are under spiritual attack, don't let Satan plant his seeds in your heart. Tend to the garden of your soul and pull out the snares and thorns that want to choke out God's words.

Sin # 2: she took and tempted Adam, She became the stumbling block. she became like Judas and betrayed God.

Sin # 3 they hid from God's face because they were ashamed. They refused to admit they were wrong and their hearts were scared, they lacked faith in God's love and mercy.

Sin #4 they lied to God and denied to His face that they did wrong. An unrepentant heart. they blamed the stumbling block. they did not seek God's forgiveness and mercy because they didn't do anything wrong in their minds.

So that is why Adam and Eve were casted out of Eden. But even then God told us His battle plan. He told us about Jesus. the Child born to Eve that would redeem the world. I'm not going to quote scripture, go read Genesis in your own bible and see if my interpertation speaks to the Holy spirit that resides inside of you. It sounded ok with the one that lives in me.

So here is the Good news as been told since the foundation of time. This is why Jesus had to die on the cross and be risen again. God's words of punishment and what I think they mean for the people in the world today:

14 So the LORD God said to the serpent:
“ Because you have done this,
You are cursed more than all cattle,
And more than every beast of the field;
On your belly you shall go,
And you shall eat dust
All the days of your life.
15 And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed; (between Satan and Jesus)
He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel.” (Jesus bashes Satan in the head and the devil nips at Christ's heel)
16 To the woman He said:
“I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception;
In pain you shall bring forth children; (why suffering is in the world, original sin)
Your desire shall be for your husband,
And he shall rule over you.” (why women desire the protection and control of men, but remember to look for a God fearing man that will lead you towards God,not one who expect you to worship them and their orders)
17 Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it’:
“ Cursed is the ground for your sake;
In toil you shall eat of it (why we must work for our food and struggle)
All the days of your life.

18 Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you,
And you shall eat the herb of the field.

19 In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread
Till you return to the ground,
For out of it you were taken;
For dust you are,
And to dust you shall return.”
20 And Adam called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living.
21 Also for Adam and his wife the LORD God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.
22 Then the LORD God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— 23 therefore the LORD God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. 24 So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.

We were casted out of Heaven because of sin. We can only return through Jesus Christ's sacrifice. so it states in scriptures. You can believe the words of Satan or you can believe the promise and love of God words which have been told since the beginning of time. Since mankind's fall from grace.

You have the sword of God's Holy words: the Bible, will you use it to cut past the illusions and fight for the Truth of God.

Yes. It was God's Own Rhema-Logos (Word) that became flesh, and not a Trinity third person. There's something all you guys are missing, even though Trinitarians are incorrect. Jesus was, indeed, Deity; just not a separate person of three. Keep digging... it's there. :)

what are you talking about Christ's mortal body lives forever now, better to ask when we get there :). People do forget or not acknowledge there is a difference between Son of God and Son of Man.....yes they are Jesus but they have a deeper meaning.

here let me spell it out. Son of man equals Jesus while He was alive
Son of God equals Jesus resurrected. that is what this being claiming to be an angel says. what do you think?

I didn't understand your last post to me but the answer to your question can partly be found in this scripture passage:

Psalms 139:8 *If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

shª'owl -- pronounced: sheh-ole' or shª'ol sheh-ole'

from 7592; Hades or the world of the dead (as if a subterranean retreat), including its accessories and inmates: KJV -- grave, hell, pit.

This hell in this verse isn't Hell it is physical death, Jesus died this death in His body But His Spirit went to the real Hell

Luke 16:22 *And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

Acts 2:31 *He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

Hades -- pronounced: hah'-dace

from 1 (as negative particle) and 1492; properly, unseen, i.e. "Hades" or the place (state) of departed souls: KJV -- grave, hell.

See Greek No. 1 <G0001>

See Greek No. 1492 <G1492>

not the same as the first hell

God did not die and God cannot die.It was the man Christ Jesus who died and rose again, the human body that God manifest Himself, which Jesus is the fulness of the Godhead in a bodily form, and the Bible says that God purchased the Church with His own blood.

Sorry, but you are mistaken. Sheol (Hebrew) and Hades (Greek) are the same. It is Gehenna that is different, though the KJV renders them all as hell.

People still forget What Son of God means and Son of man!!! Son of God is the Deity side of Christ which makes Him high and above all things. Son of Man is the human life, the human side. Think about Luke 9:22, and Luke 24:, Mark 9:12, etc......When He was talking about His death He used the word Son of Man...for only man can die but the Spirit of life lives forever

sorry an. haya. but that was not the question: the question was '''did God die on the cross" for this is
what the preachers have been preaching, they say God died for us.
this is only telling the gentiles that the christian god can die, is it not. i believe that God is ever lasting.
i will never utter these words''GOD DIED'' ,because it is not the truth. so, question is ,who really hang on the cross? iknow all christians dont believe that God can die, but why are they saying that, God died for us.
o k so God did not die ,who is he that died?
