Interesting: If U have both eyes open, U see light. If U have both eyes shut, you see darkness. If U keep one eye shut and open the other, U still see only light. Your brain does not recognize the blackness of the shut eye. Try it and see!

The darkness is overruled by the light!
John 1: 5The Light shines in the darkness, and the dark comprehends it not.

Darkness cannot BE if there is light! This applies to both physical and spiritual darkness!

When I try to see with the eye that is closed, I find my open eye going cross-eyed toward the closed one like it's trying to see what's over there.

Imagine being in a warehouse, There is no window to the outside world, and all the lights are off. You have been there for what seems a lifetime. Then in the far distance, a small light is seen. Now ask this question.

1. Are you going to remain in the dark.?

2. Are you going to walk towards the light?

This is the picture god tries to use when he calls us to be "lights unto the world.

The world is in darkness. We were there at one time. And some light drew us to God. When we, as the church, acts as a light, we draw people toward the light (that light being Christ)

Now what does all this mean? It means the world sees us, They see we have things they do not have "patience, love, Joy and peace in the time of trouble. And many other things. Things they can not comprehend, but they want it. This is how Christ drew people to himself. And why he went to the sinners and not the righteous. The sinners knew they were in dark. and were drawn to the light. The righteous did not understand they were in the dark, and would have not seen the light. because they were blind.

The most wonderful thing about light, is no darkenss can overcome light.
Light though, can overcome any darkness.
The single candle, brings light and sight to anyplace.
Even mass darkness, cannot bring any darkness to the smallest light.
All glory is God's!!

God bless.

In the peace that you have from God can you explain from your heart and from the love and understanding you have from God through the Spirit what the following passage of scripture is teaching that comes from the lips of Christ...

Mt 6:22,23
22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

in order to understand what Jesus means, we need to look into the eyes of people. lets start with our own.

go into the bathroom and get as close as you can to the mirror, while looking into the pupil of your eye, look for your reflection inside of your pupil.
is the reflection of yourself inside your pupil a dark reflection? is it a bright reflection? can you see the color of your clothes? do you see no reflection?

i hope that this may help some of you in further applying the words of Jesus into your life.

may your eyes be bright

Ill try.
One sees what they desire and choose.
If one chooses Jesus, His light will be with them in all they see and do.
If one chooses anything or everything else, they have looked away from the light that is Jesus!
Thus, there is no light, nether in sight or body. They are blind.

There are still those that have not yet been witnessed to or been able to decide.
Hopefully, they will choose and know Jesus!

In Jesus, God bless.
