Amen! I actually play Christian metal (as well as other genre's of Christian music), It is the message that counts, not the instruments that are used to make it.

Sorry. But using heavy metal to praise God is not against Nature. It might be against your nature. But people listen to it because they like it. It would be better for them to listen to Godly metal than the worlds metal.

I know people who came to God listening to Christian metal. Is their salvation null and void because as my father used to say "satan's instruments" brought them to Christ?

It's not man's place to judge how others worship God-it's for God, not those around us
I believe that any genre/sound/style of music can be used to glorify Him. I used to play for a few jazz groups that played to worship God. It was great! If metal is your thing and that's how you worship, then there is nothing wrong with that!

Excuse me? Where in the bible does it say that using metal to praise God goes against nature? I WILL tell you what the bible says: it says He can use a ROCK to bring Him praise and glory, so if God can use a rock, He can sure use metal. Just because you don't personally like metal does not mean it can't be used... Christ used metal in my life to teach me who He was... So don't ever sit there and say He can't use it.
How dare you put a limit on the power of God. |

I like metal. My tongue sticks to it when its really cold and my car is made out of it so I like it.

Can anyone show me how these lyrics do not God God glory, praise and worship? And this is how it feels when I ignore the words you spoke to me And this is where I lose myself when I keep running away from you And this is who I am when, when I don't know myself anymore And this is what I choose when it's all left up to me Breathe your life into me, I can feel you I'm falling, falling faster Breathe your life into me, I still need you I'm falling, falling Breathe into me Breathe into me And this is how it looks when I am standing on the edge And this is how I break apart when I finally hit the ground And this is how it hurts when I pretend I don't feel any pain And this is how I disappear when I throw myself away Breathe your life into me, I can feel you I'm falling, falling faster Breathe your life into me, I still need you I'm falling, falling Breathe into me Breathe into me Breathe into me Breathe into me Breathe your life into me, I can feel you I'm falling, falling faster Breathe your life into me, I still need you I'm falling, falling, breathe into me Breathe your life into me I'm falling, falling faster Breathe your life into me Falling, falling, falling Breathe into me Breathe into me Breathe into me Breathe into me, breathe |

Ok here's my 2 cents. For most of my life I was not a christian. I love heavy metal music. I'm a drummer and love to play heavy metal music on my drums. I also have an appreciation for other types of music including jazz and classical. I think heavy metal christian music is ok as long as it truly expresses praise to God and is not just a vehicle for a band to show off and have themselves be the focus of attention.

I think any Musical style is ok aslong as it Glorifies God!
I'm an old Metaler lol, well, havent got the hair now, its all gone (nearly lol). Pop music has been used as a vehicle for evil just as much as metal, so has Jazz and classical? please remember this before bashing styles of music. I'm a musician myself (not a very good one lol) but Ive played metal, country, blues, pop you name it, but now I just play now and again at my church glorifiying God with differing styles. and brothers and sisters in Christ, Glorifying God is what it is all about. Just to qualify that, I don't think , metal etc are anygood for a sunday service, it should be music that all can like and all can 'Sing' to. Blessings Phil

The earth is shaking
Because of His wrath The mountains tremble At the sound of His voice He pulls down the sky To crush His enemies He descends upon them with fire He is clothed in greatness His voice resounds throughout the earth His vengeance no longer is contained His light destroys the darkness If He speaks the earth will crumble If He moves the universe will fall He is clothed in greatness His voice resounds throughout the earth With the valleys of the seas exposed And the surface of the earth laid bare He reached down into the void HE REACHED DOWN AND TOOK HOLD OF ME! HALLELUJAH! HALLELUJAH! ok ... there is no way you can say these lyrics dont glorify God!! |
