AllCoolNicknamesWereTaken thank you. I love to hear the true gospel.

John 3:36He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life:

For one, salvation is through Belief in jesus.

So can i then believe in jesus and have eternal life (starting NOW) and not be a Christian?

If god was waiting for us to stop sinning why does the scripture say

Matthew 12:31
Wherefore i say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men.

or how about.............

— Romans 5:10
If, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life.

While we were gods enemies we were reconciled to him? That means jesus paid the price for sin before i was born. Not something i did. But he who is holy. So that if i believe i am saved.

So lets look at the *law* you know, dont be a homosexual and dont murder and all that.

Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

The law is the knowledge of sin, this clearly says that we will not be judged by sin. For if we believe in Jesus we are washed clean

Should we sin freely? NO! We should in all ways do our best to be loving, kind, meek, humble and self-less. But Since sin does happen, we cant go on condemning ourselves for messing up. But instead we should get back on the wagon down the narrow path. We must have faith that jesus cleanses, continually our sins.

Also if we could truly be as perfect as jesus and not sin, then why did he die for us? I tell you he died because he is perfect! And because we need HIM to wash our sins away.

Gal 3:21 Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.

Gal 3:22 But the Scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

All under sin. Period.

Gal 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

On our walk with jesus we should try to tell people about jesus, to believe in him. We should show his love to others by the way we act and the things we do (hey give that homeless man a hamburger or something will ya?)

The greatest of these is love, lets keep in mind whats important. Please don't condemn others, jesus died for them too.

We should be carefull not to push people away from christ by putting a burdon on them. For his burdon is light and his yoke easy.

Yes we are saved by His grace and not our works. But if we believe that He is God and that His word is true, and If we really believe He died for us because He loved us so much..shouldn't that awaken a love inside of us to keep His commands? After all He said that If we loved Him that we should keep His commands. Jesus can indeed be the savior of your life if you believe that He has died for you and that He rose from the dead and nothing and no one can take away that salvation from you. but is He Lord of your life? what will we tell Him when we are before Him and we didn't follow His own word?

Psalm 138:2 (New King James Version)
2 I will worship toward Your holy temple,
And praise Your name
For Your lovingkindness and Your truth;
For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (New King James Version)

9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals,[a] nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

IF you practice these things, as it says there you will NOT inherit the kingdom of God.

Everyone, me, and including you Adrianv125 at one time in their life has been guilty of one of those. Are you not forgiven? Again if i believe in jesus i am washed from my sins, if i am washed from my sins i wont be considered a theif, or covetous, etc. Because i am washed clean. we can only attempt to not sin.

MATTHEW 18:21-22 NKJ
21 Then Peter came to Him and said, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?"
22 Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.

Surely Jesus meant for us to forgive without limit.

So then if jesus asks me to forgive my brother without limit, then JESUS BEING HOLY will forgive us.
So if it is grace, by faith in jesus christ. Then i am seen with the robe of rightousness

Romans 3:22
The rightousness of GOD which is by faith in Christ Jesus

COLOSSIANS 3:12-13 NKJ
12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.

Matthew 5:27

“You have heard that it was said to those of old,[c] ‘You shall not commit adultery.’[d] 28 But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Everyone in the world is guilty of adultery, to be very blunt EVERYONE in the world has looked at someone and thought they would goto bed with them. Infact im not a virgin i had girlfriends before. But i am forgiven by the holy jesus. So i was guilty of adultery, but jesus took care of that.

Matthew 5:21

“You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder,[a] and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’ 22 But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause[b] shall be in danger of the judgment.

Psalms 37

23The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
24Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.

1 Corinthians 4:5
Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men's hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God.

Yes He is right and just to forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness, but true repentance means that we do not practice these things.

Adrian....I see your point all too clear and you are 100% right, others don't because they just want to argue, and to argue against the Word with the Word as they are attempting tells me a lot about their faith....

Yes my brother, Christ didn't come just to take away the consequence of sin, He came to take away the power of sin in our lives. Just think this very clearly, if the Holy Spirit is really in you, will He not produce fruit that is pleasing to the Father?

Look at what is written before that coreyryan

1 John 1:5-7
5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Don't just use one verse, use the whole word.

First you confess (and this means agree with God about your sin) and you come to the understanding that sin leads to death and is not pleasing to God. Once you understand this you ask God to forgive you of all the sins you've committed against Him knowing that sin separates you from Him. Then you ask Him to cleanse your mind, body, soul from all unrighteousness and ask the Holy Spirit to renew your mind and to do the will of the Father in every decision whether it be physical, mental, emotional, that is taken upon in your body, because thanks to the blood of Christ our bodies can become the temple of God. Once you've done this by faith you approach God and depend upon His strength to overcome temptation, because once you resist the devil He will flee, and as you seek God diligently with all your heart He renews your mind and purifies your soul. And this happens on a daily basis.

I think the point is, as Christians we don't practice sin although we DO sin. Practicing sin and sinning are two different things. If you practice sin then you are doing it willingly over and over. We all sin everyday because we are human. We were born in to sin. The important thing is that we don't do it purposely every single day. At least that is what I think Adrian is trying to say. Now, as far as saying someone is not Christian? That is absurd. That is not our decision to make. We do not know what is in someone's heart. Only God knows that. God Bless

we are commanded not to sin, but we will still mess up and fall short. we are human. yes, we are a new creation and we have the Holy Spirit in us, but that does not make us immune to sin. i don't know your heart Adrianv125 and to be honest, you don't know it as well as God does. we are supposed to speak with love otherwise we sound like a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal (1 Corinthians 13:1) and we are called to love. yes, loving someone does me telling them the truth, but if you speak without love they are very unlikely to hear it.

i would also challenge you to take a good look in God's mirror. you're no better than the rest of us. God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble (1 Peter 5:5) again, i don't know your heart, only God does, but to me you're coming off kind of proud. as your sister in Christ i am called to love you and show you that love by telling you when i don't think you are in check. i am trying my best to do this in a loving way so that you might hear me. may God bless you.

Gee....I don't see anything wrong with Adrians posts, he is stating biblical facts, he was asked a straightforward question and he answered it in truth...what's wrong with that.

I completely understand why you would think I am proud. But that is completely not the case. I too was told the same thing I am stating here because I was stuck on the true concept that yes we are capable of "messing up". But then by the word of God, given to me by a brother here in the chat, I was exhorted and was revealed that we shouldn't just stay stuck there. We should lay up to God every area of our lives, our actions as well as our reactions as well as our subconscious. If the Blood of Christ truly cleanses then I believe it truly cleanses. And I believe the power of the Holy Spirit can indeed wash away all sin from a person in all aspects, because He is almighty God and wherever He touches that same place just isn't the same. We should strive to not sin in any way against Him, even in "messing up" because we are just not worthy to even break the smallest of commands He has given. The work He started will not be done until the day we see Him, and by all means we will not be perfect until that day. But meanwhile, our hearts must be centered to please our Almighty Jesus in every area of our lives, He is more than worthy of it.

Romans Chapter 8

1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,

2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you[a] free from the law of sin and death.

3 For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh,[b] God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering.[c] And so he condemned sin in the flesh,

4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

5 Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.

6 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.

7 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.

8 Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.

In verse 8 we see those in the realm of flesh cannot please god, now remember a scripture on pleasing god...

Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

In verses 5, 6, 7,

We see that we should have our mind on things of the spirit.

Galatians 5:22-23 (King James Version)

22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Romans 8

23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. 24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? 25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

OP: Break it off with him. You are only SETTING HIM UP TO SIN. YOU have alreayd sinned in your heart towards this person.
You might believe that Jesus died for your sins, but so does Satan.

In order to BE saved, you need to DIE TO YOUR FLESH; you need to be using discernment and growing in wisdom so you can determine what thoughts and feelings are from God and which are from the kingdom of darkness so as to thrwart your destiny in the kingdom of Heaven. You need to LEARN how to OVERCOME and CONQUER the demons that acost you..taking the authority YOU HAVE in Christ.

Have you thought about seeing a deliverance minister so you can really get free of this DEMONIC spirit of lust and perversion so that you can then truly fulfill the destiny plan that God created you for??

I am not trying to be harsh here. I am only trying to be brief, to the point and informative.

I'm a deliverance minister and have studied the trap of homosexuality. You CAN get completeteyl free.

Here is one minister that has been there and done that...and he is FREE from it all.

http://www.masteringlife.org/static-pages/our-ministers
Also...Peter Horrobin is another excellent minister that helps people get free from homosexuality.

BUt as for this 19 y/o kid? My God, Man, leave him alone so as to not be a stumbling block for him and cause him to sin!! Do not be selfish. Choose this day whom/what you will serve...cuz harboring sinful thoughts is NOT what a servant of the Lord Jesus does.
If you have questions, I will be happy to answer. Email me.
