I don't know if any of you here have ever heard of a man named G. Craig Lewis, but he is a well known black preacher who has produced many a controversial teaching - one of his most famous being "The Truth Behind Hip Hop," in which he breaks down the philosophy behind the hip hop and shows how it is an evil "religion." I personally do not agree with a lot of what he says or the way he says it, but there is no denying that the man has done some homework.

Being a black Same-sex-attracted man myself, I am always offended when he talks about the subject of homosexuality - which he does often! (doesn't mean I don't listen) But his latest blog, I actually found to be rather interesting (maybe because he didn't use derogatory slurs this time). If you feel like reading about 6 good paragraphs, I would like to know what you think about this article. I can't paste it here, but if you click on this link, G. Craige Lewis Blog , it will take you to his blog page and the article which is at the top.

Ok, so the part about homosexuals thinking everyone is against them because deep down inside they know they are wrong is BS.

You can feel bad or scared about being accepted for something and it have nothing to do with it being bad. I'm fat, I fear people not accepting me for that...doesnt mean God is against me being fat...just means some people are jerks.

QUOTE from article:
"The phrase "homo" refers to the genus of all modern humans. But the phrase "phobia" means an extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something. So, they are essentially using this word to describe the fear of homosexuals, but it actually means the fear of human beings! That's right. They want those of us that are against their sexual preferences to be viewed as a fearful individual that is irrationally afraid of humans and should be psychologically evaluated!"

By the same rationale, then homosexual doesn't mean someone who has sex with the same gender, but all human beings, regardless of gender. Clearly, that is not the definition of homosexual.

In fact, homosexual sounds closer in definition to the term "homogeneous" than "homo sapiens."
ho·mo·ge·ne·ous/ˌhōməˈjēnēəs/Adjective

1. Of the same kind; alike.
2. Consisting of parts all of the same kind

Furthermore, according to his definition, ANY word that begins with the term "homo" is in reference to the human genus, which would mean that homogeneous would somehow relate to human beings... hmm. I don't think so.

Now, in the term "homo sapien", homo means "man", but again, this definition does not make sense with the definition of homosexual as homosexual implies sex with same gender, not males only, regardless of what one's gender is (with women if one is female, with men if one is male). In other words, no matter how you look at it, his reasoning can't be justified.

His rationale is severely flawed.

I hate it when people use faulty logic to push an agenda, regardless of whether said agenda is worthy or not.

Firstly he's wrong he's mixing his beliefs with fact. And secondly he's trying to blame homosexuals for thing that they simply can't be blamed for o_O

I don't much care what that man says, I would be more concerned about what the bible says and ask God for help.

Being a black Same-sex-attracted man myself

Leviticus 20:13 NIV -- "`If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.

God bless you!

I think AllCoolNicknameWereTaken nailed it. It's always hard to take someone seriously who's logic is horrible.
