I believe there is a lot of people who believe they are a child of God,but by their actions you can see they are not,like the bickering between them and their holding unto some things of the flesh.

To tell the truth,I have not seen anybody act like Jesus in it's entirety,which if led by the Spirit will produce that result.

I will say if I allow the Spirit to lead me then I am a child of God,for a Spirit led life will not fulfill the desires of the flesh.

because Jesus sent the Holy spirit to live in my heart and tells me we should bless you and others who would mock or scoff or place stumbling blocks or do anything else that goes against the Word of God and make our brethren trip instead of preach the Gospel.

The evidence is because if the Holy Spirit was not in resident I would be angry and act and speak out of anger and not Love as God told us to do. I would not be able to bless and pray for those who curse me and harm those I love. I would not be able to forgive and the bitterness and anger would burn holes in my heart.

As a Child of God, we know that our Heavenly Father will fight our battles and have faith and trust and it allows us to be nice and kind to those who abuse us because God is a Just God and tell us that "vengeance is mine"

We know that we are children of God when we do not want them to be punished but we would rather they turn from their sin, repent and be saved. That God send GRACE not vengeance to our enemies and that we pray to see them in Heaven. we know because God tells us we are HIS.
